I've been trying to find new info on interesting genre goings-on in India without much luck apart from Enthiran and Hisss, but in the process I stumbled across this trailer. It is for a film called Va Quarter Cutting, the meaning of which I'm not really sure, but the trailer looks really fun! From what I can tell, this is directed by a pair called Pushkar and Gayatri, and it follows the events occurring in one man's life between 6:30 Pm and 6:30 Am. Not an unfamiliar story, in fact, it is a very common story, but the filming style on this one looks pretty unusual for an Indian film. The cinematography and editing are very kinetic, I'd be interested to see if they can keep that kind of pace for three entire hours, I think that would make the time fly by. Followed by the grand success of ‘Vaaranam Aayiram’, ‘Tamizh Padam’ and ‘Paiyaa’, Dayanidhi Azhagiri of Cloud Nine Production recently acquired Karthi’s upcoming film ‘Naan Mahan Alla’. Now the producer is busily involved shaping up his yet another film ‘Va ¼ Cutting’.
The film was earlier supposed to have Jai in lead roles and now Shiva has replaced him with Spb Charan and Lekha Washington. Husband-wife filmmakers Pushkar and Gayathri are handling story, screenplay, dialogues and direction for this film. They earlier made their debut directorial in Kollywood with Aarya-Pooja starrer ‘Oram Po’.
‘‘Va ¼ Cutting’ has a differently catchy theme that will attract audiences for this trait’ says one of the crewmembers of this film. G.V. Prakash scores music and Nirav Shah handles cinematography.
