Hangout Series.
TheFearmakers30 May 2021
Nancy Travis has always been the cute dependable woman that men don't realize is the love of their lives until their sanity depends on it. She's older but still has the same cute girl smile. The date scene with Sandy is mellow and adds to the hangout vibe of this series. It's a hangout series, basically.

Perhaps too many old men "things don't work" jokes and pop culture references, and thankfully there are only about one or two Right Wing jabs every three or four episodes (producers have to show their "Religion" to the viewers but at the same time must face/realize that not only registered democrats pay for Netflix or movie tickets). Anyhow, good show. The acting student girl with the full lips is hot. Good actress.

Michael Douglas thinks she likes him, and frankly, he kind of resembles an old surfer version of the crypt keeper but... anyhow... As a fan of MD's since the 1980's it's fun to see his performance and how it sometimes recalls his past characters.

PS Having seen Season 3 already and going back rewatching this, I can see how, during this season, Paul Reiser is basically introduced as Alan Arkin's eventual replacement. In fact, a few episodes back, Arkin gets jealous about Douglas's friendship with his future old mans on in law, but... anyhow...

"For you I'll give it the old college

Sandy is still desperately endeavouring to get somewhere with the delectable Lisa, but has he really got what it takes to actually get anywhere.

Can Norman really manage to break the habits of his lifetime?

By behaving as a halfway decent human being, towards those who he still has left in his life.

Sandy may well wonder what kind of relationship, has he actually got with the gorgeous Lisa.

Dealing the Sex
Hitchcoc27 June 2021
Norman and Sandy are both dealing with a subject that may have passed them by. Sex is still a big deal but performance and age are another thing. This is pretty funny. Norman will not be living a long time and decides to forgive his daughter. Meanwhile Sandy has one of those amazingly unfulfilled evenings. There is a scene with the cops that is precious.

Season 2 is excellently written

Warning: Spoilers
"Now all I want her to do is to stop talking so I can take a leak." That whole voiceover is one of the funniest film moments ever.

It just too bad that anyone under 60 just doesn't understand.

Chapter 12

Warning: Spoilers
Some funny moments, but the cops harassing Sandy just for going into his car didn't make a lot of sense.

And only two blueberries on your frozen yogurt? I don't buy it.

Solid episode, Norman making things right with phoebe was heartfelt and lovely. The sandy storyline had some solid gold humor.
