The Silence Hero is another masterpiece from Ningxia film studio, made in 2000 even though it feels like an 1980 Movie.
Tong Ge a small town hero travel to Shanghai to fight the injustice together with the communist party. During his fight he get visit from his ex lover who has now a child, a six year old daughter, that daughter belongs to him. Despite that, he must ignore the, to fight for his cause, but it might be a sacrifice more than he bargain for.
It start like a funny cliche action movie with Rongguang Yu but it becomes more sad later in the movie, a typical Chinese morale cookies as it was during the 80s 90s and early 2000s.
It is well done, a little old technology it it's a mainland movie so the expectation isn't high when it comes to technology. But it the sad story that kicks in.
