Taylor Swift has released the music video for “Fortnight” featuring Post Malone from her new album, The Tortured Poets Department. The track is the first single from the record, which the singer released early Friday.
In the footage, Swift and Post Malone play ex-lovers, with the latter trying to save the singer who appears trapped in her own space. At one point, Swift also seemingly has matching face tattoos as Post Malone. By the end of the video, Swift is breaking free, burning poems and breaking windows.
“When I was writing the Fortnight music video, I wanted to show you the worlds I saw in my head that served as the backdrop for making this music,” the singer wrote on Instagram amid the music video’s release. “Pretty much everything in it is a metaphor or a reference to one corner of the album or another. Taylor Swift’s Tortured Poets Department is on pace for a massive opening, and in under 24 hours, the album already beat the record for most streams in a single day on Spotify, the service confirmed on Friday.
The record has over 200 million streams already, Spotify said, and Swift now holds the record for the top-three debuts in Spotify history. Midnights comes in second-place and 1989 (Taylor’s Version) takes third. That figure should grow further as she has several hours left before the day is done.

“Clara Bow” is the 16th track on Taylor Swift‘s new album The Tortured Poets Department and the real-life subject’s family is reacting to the song.
If you didn’t know, there was an actress named Clara Bow in the silent film era and she gained the nickname “The It Girl” in the 1920s.
Clara‘s personal life was often the subject of tabloids, with some calling her more “brazen” than her peers. She eventually suffered a breakdown and left her acting career to escape Hollywood and focus on her mental health.
Taylor sings on the chorus of the song, “This town is fake, but you’re the real thing / Breath of fresh air through smoke rings / Take the glory, give everything / Promise to be dazzling.”
Clara‘s family members opened up about the song following its release.

Hours after the release of Kid Cudi’s ninth solo album, Insano, a curious sight appeared on a barge in New York’s Hudson River. It was a massive statue of Cudi, its eyes flaming red and fluorescent light shooting out of its mouth. A similar barge floated off the coast of Long Beach, while a third Cudi statue stood in the middle of Paris’ Place de la Bourse. “Satanic Kid Cudi slammed for unveiling massive statues of himself,” read a hilarious Page Six headline compiling social-media reactions to the stunt.

The director of 1993’s enduring classic Fire in the Sky, Bloody Disgusting has learned that Robert Lieberman passed away at the age of 75 earlier this month after a battle with cancer.
Many horror fans consider Fire in the Sky to be the most terrifying alien abduction movie ever made, with one scene in particular being among the scariest in the genre’s history.
Released in theaters in 1993, Fire in the Sky was based on Travis Walton’s book The Walton Experience, which itself was based on Walton’s real-life tales of alien abduction.
In the film’s most harrowing scene, Walton (played by D.B. Sweeney) is experimented on by a group of aliens, first emerging from a slimy cocoon and then being subjected to various forms of extraterrestrial torture. It’s a sequence that once seen is never unseen, frequently popping up on lists of the scariest scenes in horror...

Welcome to this week’s Nxt review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and Donald Trump is having people stolen away in the night, as they say. From what I’ve heard, this all has to do with the Black Lives Matter movement and wanting to silence those people that have been actively protesting the systemic racism in the U.S.A. Well, I guess Donald Trump wants to be Big Brother, because he’s a dumb son of a bitch. Well, as Donald Trump tries to ruin peoples’ lives, let’s take a look at some wrestling from the guy who is best friends with Big Brother Jr. himself.

Does the lack of the word “Massacre” in the freshly truncated title of Texas Chainsaw 3D indicate that this sequel to Tobe Hooper’s classic 1974 horror film The Texas Chainsaw Massacre will find Leatherface settling his problems through the power of rhetoric? Apparently not, judging by the movie’s first trailer which features mechanical woodcutting device-related mayhem aplenty.

The Tortured is brought to us by Twisted Pictures. It’s familiar territory for the production company that brought us such genre fare as Saw. I've been a fan of films like Repo: The Genetic Opera, but I wasn't pleased with The Tortured.
The story goes something like this: A pervert abducts the only son of Yuppie couple Elise and Craig Landry. The pervert kills the defenseless young boy. The man is caught, but his punishment is something the Landrys perceive as a less than just sentence. This leaves the Landry's grief stricken and enraged. The couple then decides to seek a little vigilante justice. They turn the tables on their son's murderer and give him a taste of his own tomfoolery.

The man is caught, but his punishment is something the Landrys perceive as a less than just sentence. This leaves the Landry's grief stricken and enraged. The couple then decides to seek a little vigilante justice. They turn the tables on their son's murderer and give him a taste of his own tomfoolery.

Bill Moseley is one hell of a busy guy. In the last twelve months alone he's performed in The Devil's Carnival, the upcoming sequel The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D, two episodes of FEARnet's popular network series "Holliston" and a handful of other genre films as well.
Moseley is now keeping himself busy doing the publicity rounds for two recent releases- The Tortured, which recently hit VOD platforms everywhere via IFC Films, and Exit Humanity, which also recently debuted on DVD courtesy of Bloody Disgusting Selects.
Dread Central had the opportunity to chat with Moseley about both The Tortured (review) and Exit Humanity (review) - two wildly different films. In the first the actor portrays child killer John Kozlowski, who ends up at the mercy of the parents after a prison break goes awry and they capture him for their own twisted kind of revenge. In the latter Moseley plays the dastardly General Williams,...

Title: The Tortured Director: Robert Lieberman Starring: Erika Christensen, Jesse Metcalfe, Bill Moseley, Fulvio Cecere A stupendously inane and pointless slice of revenge-based horror whose title might as well describe the audience watching it, “The Tortured” chronicles the story of a young married couple’s capture and torment of the man convicted of kidnapping and murdering their five-year-old son. Told in hammy fashion and marked by a pair of hysterical, uneven lead performances, this inept genre entry is an embarrassment to almost all involved. A mass of expository set-up opens the movie, which centers around suburbanites Craig and Elise Landry (Jesse Metcalfe and Erika Christensen). Craig witnesses their son being snatched from their front yard, and [ Read More ]...

Fan-favorite horror actor Bill Moseley joined us earlier this week to talk about The Tortured, which opens today in select theaters across the United States and is also available on demand.
During our interview, he discussed tackling the tough subject matter and shared a great story about working with child actors. I also made sure to follow up him on The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D and learned why he’s playing Drayton Sawyer and not Chop Top.
Many of our readers are big fans of your work and I’m excited to talk to you today about The Tortured. With all the genre projects you’re approached to appear in, what made this one stand out?
Bill Moseley: Originally, I heard about this when I was working on Repo! The Genetic Opera. Carl Mazzocone, the producer, came up to me and said that he wanted me to play the part of a child killer…...

Hey there! The world of the creative takes center stage on the big screen this week, as singers, writers, and performance artists feature heavily in the weekend releases. From ‘80s rock bands to the New York art scene to ex-pat writers in the birthplace of literary circles, The City of Lights itself, a hefty dose of the artistic graces the cinemas and adds some interesting and nontraditional subject matter to the lineup. Though the obligatory summer fare – another adult male with Peter Pan syndrome, a grisly murder flick, and even more aliens – isn’t very far behind. Looks like a blast!
Wedding bells reunite a father and son in this weekend’s “That’s My Boy,” from director Sean Anders (“Hot Tub Time Machine”). Of course, the reunion’s motives are mixed, as drunk, deadbeat dad Donny (Adam Sandler) is just looking for a handout from his son Todd (Andy Samberg...

Grief can be an enormously difficult emotion to pull off on screen, mainly because we all deal with it in different ways and it's hard for most of us to imagine the tragedy that befalls Craig and Elise Landry, the couple at the center of Robert Lieberman's The Tortured.
The Landrys' son, Benjamin, is taken from them in broad daylight and murdered by a sadistic child molester and serial murderer. The killer is captured by the police, but cuts a deal. It's one thing to lose your child, but seeing that the man who took him away from you isn't getting nearly the punishment you think he deserves? That may give one…ideas. It certainly gives the Landrys ideas. As I said, we all deal with grief in different ways, and The Tortured...

Apt Title Foretells Effect on its Audience: Lieberman’s Absurd Attempt at Horror
Robert Lieberman’s latest film, a quaggy, moronic torture porn debacle, ironically titled The Tortured, is finally getting released by IFC Films nearly two years after filming. Of course, we’re assuming this is because the distribution company realizes that Lieberman’s film is a dead ringer for a 2010 French Canadian freak show they acquired and released on DVD, the infamous 7 Days. Featuring only superficial differences from its foreign language counterpart, this uninspired exercise frighteningly proves that torture porn revenge has become merely pedestrian.
Beginning with Craig Landry (Jesse Metcalfe) screaming into a cell phone that his son has been kidnapped, we are treated to several memory induced flashback scenarios leading up to the presently grief stricken Craig and wife Elise (Erika Christensen). We get a small glimpse of the pedophile serial killer (Bill Moseley) that has kidnapped the child,...

There are actors who are cast as the boy who gets the girl. And there are actors who are cast as the boy who gets to put the girl’s head on a spike. Bill Moseley is very much in the latter category. The actor first caught the eye of horror fans with his unforgettable turn as the berserk Chop Top in Tobe Hooper’s 1986 sequel The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 and since then has gruesomely graced a raft of genre movies including 1990′s Night of the Living Dead remake, 1993′s Army of Darkness, and pretty much everything Rob Zombie has ever directed.

Character actor Bill Moseley is in the unique position of having one of those recognizable faces that frequently spawns a sense of unnerved dread or disgust when people place it. But that’s a good thing, actually. With dozens of credits to his name, the amiable Moseley has carved out a position as the star or featured player in a number of horror flicks with high cult appeal. He made his mark as Chop Top in ”The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2,” and, years later, Otis B. My wife once told me that she could not longer watch horror movies because she had a kid. While I was unable to sympathize with her distaste for my genre of choice I could only chock it up to not having had the experience of having a little baby yet. I have an awesome stepdaughter who rocks my socks, but there’s something in the blood relation aspect. Well low and behold I am now a daddy. I have a beautiful six month old daughter at home who lights up a room and drowns out your melancholy with a hint of her smile and flick of her toes. Why am I divulging the ultra-super moosh that has taken a hold of someone who’s pseudonym is Dr. Jimmy Terror? Because when you watch The Tortured as a parent you feel every ounce of a parent’s misery. You feel the...

Genre favorite Bill Moseley is once again bringing his one-of-a-kind abilities to an upcoming horror film. Moseley stars in the movie Rogue River, which is due to hit DVD on June 5. Read on to hear from the man himself!
Moseley recently took the time to sit down with Dread Central and tell us all about Rogue River and some of his other intriguing upcoming projects as well.
Moseley remarked that working on Rogue River was especially fulfilling for him because of one of his co-stars. "I knew what I was getting into," Moseley said."It was the first time I'd ever worked with my girlfriend, Lucinda Jenney, who plays Lea. That was a lot of fun.
"I got the job and my manager, Judy Fox, said they haven't yet cast Lea and she asked, 'What about Lucinda?'" Moseley said. "Well, Lucinda has a lot more and better credits than I do,...

For most viewers, there's no way to take a look at that Twisted Pictures logo and feel at ease. Sure, it's intimidating all on it's own -- dark lowercase lettering separated by barbed-wire, inky shadows. But it's an entirely different sort of fear that emerges from the house that James Wan built. The company piggybacked off three "Saw" films before it decided to expand into other hoary, blood-soaked horror cheapies, most of them in the direct-to-video realm. With "Saw" over, however, Twisted Pictures still has a few leftovers from the torture porn trend, and one is 2010's "The Tortured," currently, finally receiving a VOD release.

This joint U.S.-Canadian venture from 2009 was produced by Twisted Pictures, the company behind the Saw franchise. The Tortured is a film very much in line with its title and the Saw movies in that it favors presenting torture over creating suspense. Benjamin, the 6-year-old son of Elise and Craig Landry, is abducted and murdered by a psychopath named John Kozlowski (played by Bill Moseley). Kozlowski is apprehended shortly after. At his trial,…...
