Basing an episode around Snot was a risk the show might need to take, but unfortunately it went off course (no pun intended) way too quickly.

The Roger character was good tonight though.

Diversifying the Characters

People are prone to wanting the same thing rinsed and repeated to them. Hence why family guy and Simpson's and a good portion of the adult animated comedies have the same plots aka "Simpsons Did it" Episodes like these to some extent jump the shark but are necessary. Snot has been on the show since season one and his mother for awhile as well. You can keep adding characters but without giving them dimension you lose your audience. You have your mains rub with your side characters to give them more popularity and better substance to the story. Truly a well done episode for enjoyment value. Humor? Eh, but most of the shows stop being funny pass the age of 15.

American Dad has really gone downhill this season, we all see it and we all know it. Up until now, it's been a mix of good and bad- but this was just by far the worst episode yet. It was not at all funny and so poorly written that it was painful to keep watching.

Everyone was out of character, the storyline made no sense... it's like they've suddenly decided to employ immature 12-year olds in the writers room this season and thrown away their witty, satirical writers that used to make American Dad great.

Got bored after first 5minutes of this episode then turned it off.

The writers must really be running out of ideas if they're resorting to secondary characters for the A plot. I don't understand why this episode couldn't have been written with Steve in Snot's role, i.e an uncle having a past as a derby driver or even just Roger's character. I would have been much more entertained and invested in the story if it revolved around characters I actually like
