Jason and Tahanni are fixing things
mohamadacma21 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
In this episode of the good place, Jason has been given the task of making the life of Chidi miserable, and ramp up the pressure so that he can be pushed to act more ethically. Also, Tahanni tries to get that man to be humble and also take him to her team. They succeed in the end and these two guys are now in the happy face part of the spectrum drawn on the wall. Eleanor feels pain and relief at the same time: she is angry at shidi for leaving here but also appreciates his sacrifice for the team. The end scene is a sort of satan riding a train and apparently coming to the good place. They're trying to change the behaviour of the good place people so that they can go to the actual good place? I am not sure what is happening. Need to gather more clues.

Chillax

Warning: Spoilers
According to Rotten Tomatoes, the fourth season has a rating of 100%, based on 21 reviews, with an average rating of 8.33/10. It's as though this episode was too relaxed in some ways, but not in a good way really. Anyway, maybe the fourth season was a bridge too far for the writers, but anyway, it's the Good Place.

I finally started to laugh in this season. There were good jokes. It made me feel like I'm watching season 1.

Wow and Wow Again!

This episode is one of the best things ever to be on television. Ever. It is amazing. Wonderful. Fantastic. Mind-blowing. Surprising. Original. Get the thesaurus. This episode gets 10 stars to the 10th power. I love you, Michael Schur!!!

My first ever-rating :) This episode was worth it

I have to say, this episode was pretty touching. I connected on a lot of levels with much of what the characters were feeling. The writers stay true to their beliefs in this episode which is why I think it's a classic. The character development continues as our four stars continue their path to becoming better versions of themselves. "Chillaxing" left me with a good feeling afterwards, which is what I'm looking for when watching The Good Place, and still managed to contribute to the plot. Jokes were spot on as well.

Has become a vacation resort
jwpicton25 May 2020
What was a truly original story and amazing adventure in the first three series but has become lack lustre and almost predictable in the fourth. Its like a vacation resort where everyone needs cheering up and one or two need to learn a lesson, how boring. Thus far the premise has been the same in every episode this season - copies with a different script. This making progress with each person is mind numbingly hard work to watch. The holiday resortesque backdrop is really really lame. It worked for introductory purposes earlier on but now just seems ridiculous. These people are dead, not retired in Florida. I'm reviewing this at episode 3 so I'm open to the possibility of improvement but I'm not holding my breath. The episodes are far too short - 20min - so there's not much time - something left field better happen, and happen soon!

Too caught up in itself...
timbirtv11 October 2019
I knew this would eventually happen, but this show should not even be considered a sitcom. It just isn't funny, and the sparse jokes that are in there fall flat. There is something wrong when a "sitcom" like this, which should be consistently funny, needs comic relief (Jason). I honestly feel a bit disappointed that the show runners chose to go the more conceptual route instead of the route with more humor.
