Breakfast at Tiffany's: The Making of a Classic is a fine behind-the-scenes tale told from the survivors' view

This extra on disc 2 Bonus Features segment of Breakfast at Tiffany's DVD set has various survivors of that movie as well as Audrey Hepburn's son Sean Hepburn Ferrer and her last companion Robert Wolders discussing the classic status of it. Producer Richard Shepard and director Blake Edwards mention that original author Truman Capote wanted Marilyn Monroe in the role but since Ms. Hepburn was contracted to the studio making the film-Paramount-she would get the part. Actress Patricia Neal discusses what co-star George Peppard was like before the movie when they knew each other (very kind) and then during filming (wanting to have his way a lot of the time). Blake also mentions not really enamored of casting him but also saying he had a good time with him. There's also his mentioning how he helped expand the cocktail party scene to his satisfaction. So on that note, I recommend Breakfast at Tiffany's: The Making of a Classic.
