Sex & Nudity

  • Sexual dialogue occurs throughout the episode. The purpose of this dialogue is to show that men in the sixties were sexist and objectified women. Further, most of the main characters are married men who are openly carousing with other women. Women are encouraged to objectify themselves by wearing more showy clothing in order to please their bosses. A frequent theme of the show is that women are treated like tramps if they act the same way that men do.
  • A married couple is shown in bed together (clothed in pajamas).
  • A man and a woman who are having an affair are shown after sex in the sheets, naked. The woman's bare back is shown as she gets out of bed before covering herself with a robe.
  • The married couple are shown in bed again. The husband is shown doing push-ups on the floor in his boxers before getting in bed.
  • A married man is shown naked after sex in a woman's bed. The woman is dressed for work and kisses him briefly before leaving.

Violence & Gore

Profanity

  • In keeping with the sixties, language is used sparingly. The f-word and s-word pops up infrequently as do more common religious exclamations like J-----s, God's name, and the D-word.
