Each strife duo is handed an unsolved case the detectives didn't solve. Nolan learns his fully estranged father left him an old car, which is stolen back by his previously unknown half brother Pete, who was raised poorly by their drunk dad, hooks up with a pole dancer in John's case and keeps changing his mind which brother should have the car and what it means. Tim's upcoming sergeant promotion exam results distract him from the case of the stolen statue, but he still finds an original solution for a complex gang feud. Public defender Wesley Evers must convince his bossy mother Melanie he's preferable to her non-criminal 'real lawyer' and to turn in her tennis lover, who gave her a gun used in an armed robbery.
