Diana, The Musical begins its Act II with the shirtless, well-toned actor portraying the princess’ studly consort James Hewitt doing his best Urban Cowboy riding-the-bull impression, much to the dirty-dancing delight of the smitten royal.
Finally, you think, Diana has fully embraced itself, director Christopher Ashley has rediscovered the campy aesthetic that served him so well from Jeffrey to The Rocky Horror Show and hope may not be entirely lost. But then the pink-bedecked romance novelist Barbara Cartland (don’t ask) stops the action to announce that she just made up that steamy bit, and the ripped stable boy covers up his abs and Diana sinks back to its high-decibel mediocrity.
By now you’ve probably read, heard or seen for yourself, via Netflix, just how deliciously bad Diana is, but the truth isn’t quite so much fun. Diana, opening tonight on Broadway at the Longacre Theatre, is not a so-bad-it’s-good disaster.

Despite regularly stealing the show and earning the nicknames “Mr WrestleMania”, “The Main Event”, and “The Showstopper”, Shawn Michaels didn’t hold many titles during his 23-year career with the WWE. It could be said that he reached a similar status to The Undertaker in that title reigns weren’t important as the performer sold the show, not the championship when it came to ‘Taker. Shawn Michaels only held the World Championship four times, three as WWF Champion and one as World Heavyweight Champion. Here is all of Shawn Michaels’ World Championship reigns ranked from worst to best. 4. WWF Championship –

“Tiger King” is no longer the king of Netflix’s Top 10 titles list. On Friday, the Joe Exotic docuseries had its 25-day streak at No. 1 on the streaming service’s daily rankings of all its available movies and TV shows in the U.S. snapped by “Despicable Me.”
While “Tiger King” has now given up its throne to the Minions, the show was only bumped down to second place among overall titles and still holds its No. 1 slot on Netflix’s Top 10 TV series list.
The true-crime docuseries by Eric Goode and Rebecca Chaiklin holds the record for the longest streak atop the streaming service’s overall shows and movies list, having been sitting there since March 23 — three days after it launched. “The Trials of Gabriel Fernandez” comes in second with six straight days as Netflix’s most-watched title, followed by “Love Is Blind” and “Spenser Confidential,” which were both...

Yes it’s true. Universal’s $19.99 48-hour rentals of “Trolls World Tour” exceeded the studio’s highest expectations. The premium Video on Demand market (which also allows for some downloads) is not yet the new normal for top releases. But these results will encourage other companies to make pricing experiments with their backlog of unreleased films.
With Pixar’s “Soul” (Disney) the latest top pre-July release rescheduled for November, we have it at least three more months before theaters might reopen. Even Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden cites theaters and events as opening much later than stores and offices. “It’s fluid,” said Jeanne Berney, COO of Picturehouse, which moved religious drama “Fatima,” starring Harvey Keitel and Sonia Braga, from April 24 to August 14 opposite “Wonder Woman 1984.” Now the indie distributor has more time to reach out to church groups and promote the film’s Andrea Bocelli single.

Although there are many streaming options to choose from during the lockdown, Netflix is arguably still ahead of the pack. As well as adding new comedies to cheer you up, and introducing subscribers to one of the worst movies ever made, the platform have put out a set of intriguing titles this week, including the bonkers Angel Has Fallen, original wrestling picture The Main Event, comedy Love, Wedding, Repeat, Yorgos Lanthimos’ The Killing of a Sacred Deer, and thriller Mile 9.
Angel Has Fallen is the third part of the Gerard Butler-starring Fallen trilogy, which appears to be trying to up the craziness in each installment. The latest movie, which was in theaters in 2019, sees Butler’s Mike Banning becoming the director of the President’s secret service detail, only to be framed for an attack on the Commander of Chief. With just about everyone now being advised to remain at home due to the Coronavirus pandemic, Netflix seems to be more popular than ever. Ditto for the other major streaming services, too.
When it comes to Netflix, in particular, though, it’s become so popular in some regions that they’ve even had to decrease their video quality or else they’d risk slowing down the entire internet. It makes sense, too, as with theaters now closed, people need another way to consume entertainment and they’ve mostly turned towards streaming.
Thankfully, all the major platforms have been pumping out a ton of content to keep up with consumer demand and Netflix continues to deliver. In fact, they’ve added five brand new movies to their site as of today, and all of them happen to be Netflix Originals.

There’s a bit of magic sprinkled into director Jay Karas’ “The Main Event.” Trouble is, adults in the audience will have to go looking for it. This kid-centric wish-fulfillment fantasy from WWE Studios centers around a bullied runt who enters a professional wrestling contest after finding a super-powered and super-stinky mask. The film represents all the tenets of the corporation’s brand and suitably cloaks them in a celebratory, family-friendly guise. Only the execution of the catchy high concept, along the lines of “Like Mike” and “Rookie of the Year,” is a mixed bag. It’s nowhere near the quality of last year’s word-of-mouth sensation from the same studio, “Fighting With My Family,” but dispenses heartening commentary to its target market about the power of dreaming big and harnessing your own authentic strengths.

A few days after the WWE scaled back its matches, instituted coronavirus protocols and began staging events without an audience, the company’s studio arm has stepped into the breach, along with Netflix, to release “The Main Event,” in which an 11-year-old boy with a magic mask spends lots of time inside the ring in front of those screaming fans that have disappeared in real life.
(And as a bonus, the climactic match takes place in a steel cage, the hallmark of the now-shuttered Ufc.)
It’s unlikely, though, that too many WWE fanatics are going to embrace “The Main Event” in place of a full-fledged Raw or Smackdown or Wrestlemania event, despite the presence of a bevy of the organization’s stars, including Sheamus, The Miz and Kofi Kingston. With streaming services growing like weeds and a new one on the way this month in the form of Quibi, there’s never been more pressure on Netflix to remain our platform of choice. "Bring the chaos, bro!" Netflix has unveiled the official trailer for a film titled The Main Event, the latest film from director Jay Karas (Break Point).
