Cathy studied her guinea pig's mother and father with the genetic principles of Gregor Mendel to correctly predict what they would look like. She tells Patty that she could control certain aspects of her future children by selection a man with certain genetic makeups. When Patty learns that Richard's family is short, she calls things off with him. She goes to the gym to scout potential mates before snooping through the office files to find the boy with the highest I.Q.- Rodion Zielinski (Danny Dennis). He isn't the attractive type, however. Patty's class has a new suave, attractive substitute teacher, Gregory Noble (Robert Goulet) that has captured her eye. She tries to learn more about him under the rouse of having him help her with the study of genetics. Patty soon learns you can't predict everything.
