Now hear this has aired it's second episode this evening and it's completely cemented the show as one of my new favorite series. I'm so sad that this will only be a 4 episode miniseries. Scott Yoo is a wonderful host that is very down to earth and seems quite approachable I feel like that quality and his sense of humor really makes this show more accessible in that it doesn't come off as pretentious. Scott's enthusiasm and passion are so contagious, it's hard not to smile with him. The series delves as much into the history of the composers as it does the music. The other musicians that have appeared on the show have been incredible. I really can't get enough of this show. PBS please pick this show up permanently, I'd love for this to become a regular series!

Almost Works, but...

This could have been a great series, but Scott Yoo is a boring, plebeian host who keeps inserting himself and his violin into everything, but I suppose that's what his life's all about. Anyway, it's not what my life is all about. If you're going to talk about Scarlatti, talk about Scarlatti. (Speaking of which, the idea that no one has ever heard of Scarlatti is a joke. He's an incredibly famous composer.)
