Very good insight of the Chicago Cubs and their faithful followers. Dreams, hopes and heartbreak. This documentary begins with opening day, 2006 and follows the Cubs that has the Major League's longest drought of almost a century without a World Series Championship. In 59 minutes there is the roller-coaster ride the franchise and long-suffering dedicated fans have endured. Very rare newsreel and archival film and photos and live interviews with the likes of Bob Costas, Jeff Garlin, Ernie Banks, Fergie Jenkins, Ron Santo, Bryant Gumble, Matt Liston, Ryan Sandberg, Jack Brickhouse, Billy Williams and Harry Caray. There is the "Curse of the Goat"; the tremendous 1969 season that looked so good before being beat out by the Miracle Mets; the Cubbies failure aiding the San Diego Padres' comeback season in 1984 and the "kick-your-cap" heartbreak of a spectator's deflection of a foul-ball in 2003...making Mr. Bartman just as hated as the Padres' Steve Garvey. Cub fans are not just limited to the north side of Chicago...there are devoted Cubbie fans from coast to coast that really hate to say it...but always will..."Wait 'til next year!"
