OK, this is just a disaster! What? Demi Lovota is the only convincing one!!! The story lines are so silly, half of them don't even make sense! I live Disney Channel so much but whenever this comes on just switch. It's only a few minutes long but still what a waste. Most shorts on Disney are rubbish except "Phineas & Ferb" which is sensational. This is a sad excuse for a Disney Channel comedy! Take it off our screens! Here's the plot...

Kids enjoy their break doing "funny" (yeah right!) things all in the exact same spot! Oh please! Please just get rid of shorts and make "Phineas and Ferb" a half an hour long show because it's one of Disne's best ever shows. Disney Channel aren't lose there touch, but to be frank this show is a sad excuse...except for Demi who gave this show four stars from me!

Disney Channel's made another short series they don't even feature new episodes out of. This is probably the same thing as what happened to Shorty McShorts' Shorts and their discontinuing of their 5-minute animated short series. However, it was funny while it lasted. The characters are quite a bit stereotypical on their personalities, but it was matched upon today's teenagers. There are the elements of school situations. However, the situations seem to not be taken seriously. On the bright side, Disney Channel made a funnier short series made to last even the shortest period of time. The only thing that would make this show better is for it to be more attractive and worked on since the effort was low in some way.

This show is a disgrace to Disney.

They are many reasons why this short should seize production. They're is no need for opening credits for a 4 minute show. Adding a laugh track to a short just does not work, unless it was to make the jokes seem more funnier, which they are not. They're is no way the writers actually intended this show for high-schoolers. The characters are just ditsy people with no creativity put into they're personality. And they actors are not good at all. They say Demi Lavato did not appear in season two because of production for Camp Rock, but I believe she also agreed of its stench. I have slightly lost respect for Disney Channel, and this show makes me glad DVR can allow me to never view it. In summary, the show is cheaply done, has bad actors, and is probably there to fill in 5 minutes.

this show is almost exactly like a Saturday Night Live skit. its just a children's version. it's like a whole bunch of high school idiots. the acting is awful. the jokes are stupid. i noticed in one of the episodes there was a flashback in the flashback the kids were wearing the same clothes it's to simple. the show is 5 minutes long it comes on after shows. real shows. then people should change the channel for five minutes turn it back and your good. the characters are all dumb, shy and like any other show there's two people crushing that don't know each others feelings rust like in Phil of the future (Phil and Keely) then Cory in the house ( Cory and Merna).

OK... it's just... bad.

1- the actors are terrible. the only one that acts decently is Demi Lovato! 2- the jokes are not funny... just stupid, predictable, and laim... 3- for everyone that says that the cute boys save the show, let me tell you: they don't. 4- its stereotypical: brunette with glasses, stupid blond, crushes that turn into nothing, stupid teenagers that only care about stupid things... teenagers are NOT like that! why do they keep doing stuff that suggest the opposite? 5- its a show made to fill those 5 minutes that have nothing on... they didn't care about it, they don't even care if people like it...

I don't think Disney channel is doing such a bad work, as people are saying... I mean, in this show, they did a bad work, but, for example, hannah montana and the suit life aren't that bad... i enjoy watching it. I'm not saying that it doesn't have its bad moments, but generally, its good. but still, there should be more shows like phineas and ferb... i Love that show...

Anyway... its not worth 5 minutes, believe in me...

For some reason, it seems Disney channel is dedicated to dumbing down kids, and this show is no exception. "As the Bell Rings" is a ridiculous 5 minute short show that Disney now puts on when movies or shows end early. It's simply about a group of kids and what they do during passing period at school. The acting is quite bad, and much worse than that is the awful writing. I don't see how any sane kid could find this trash funny, and I actually hope that they take this off an already suffering station. The show's only 5 minutes long, and it amazingly can't even sustain that length. I love Disney animated movies...so maybe they should stick to those.

My rating: Bad show!

I wouldn't say the best work that Disney Channel has done but it's a pretty good short show. I actually enjoyed watching the show when it first came to air, I thought it was great having to watch a group of high schoolers go through the same things that real high schoolers go through. I know they are really high schoolers but it's just amazing how they really put the effort onto being on TV and mixing their real high school life with their scripts. It helps a lot and it makes the script seem more realistic to some people. I'm actually a high schooler, and everyday when I go to school I actually see kids hanging out in the hallways and everyday it reminds me of the whole scene in ATBR. And kids can actually relate to the situations that are going on in each scene, especially kids that are in high school and in middle school. Now in my opinion, I actually think the laugh track is Unnecessary in some scenes but you still gotta give Disney Channel some credit. And whoever posted comments and ratings bashing the show and the actors, I'm guessing you only watched one episode out of the whole first season. I suppose to the people who dislike ATBR would rather watch something more pointless like that other short show Disney has called "Shaun The Sheep." The show is cute but they don't have voice actors and they only make little scenes with little sounds and it is actually very pointless. Hell, As The Bell Rings would be more entertaining than that weird show. And some people think the actors are terrible but they do actually have some very talented actors in the production. For example, Tony Oller is an amazing actor who is down-to-earth and has an amazing singing voice and can also dance, Demi Lovato is a great actress and has a lot of potential, she can also dance and act. Now I am not so sure about the others like Gabriella Rodriguez (Brooke), Seth Ginsberg (ToeJam), Collin Cole (Skipper), and Carlson Young (Tiffany) but deep down inside they have potential and can make it to be great and funny actors. If you have seen the first episode then you might think the acting isn't that outstanding but the actors really do have what it takes to be big.

Here's a list of the characters and I put a little summary about them too: Danny: Funny, charming, tall, handsome, and a cool guy who is best friends with ToeJam and Skipper. He has a major crush on this girl named Charlotte who is also a very good friend. He is also friends with two other female characters, Brooke and Tiffany.

Charlotte: Pretty, intelligent, funny, sweet, and is your normal teenage girl. Is best friends with Tiffany and Brooke and has a crush on Danny but wonders when he's ever gonna ask her out.

Tiffany: Pretty, cute, funny, dumb, and popular Tiffany is best friends with Charlotte and Brooke. Isn't the sharpest knife out of the whole group but sometimes can be helpful.

Skipper: Funny guy who is best friends with Danny and ToeJam. Always comes up with schemes to help his friends with their conflicts and has a little thing for Tiffany.

ToeJam: Nerdy, cute, funny, and smart ToeJam is best friends with Danny and Skipper. He always tends to have a funny feeling about Skipper's schemes turning out to be huge problems. Doesn't know if he likes Brooke but sounds like he does.

Brooke: Nerdy, pretty, nice, funny, and smart Brooke is best friends with Charlotte and Tiffany. Has strong opinions and gives her best input in every situation and plan the girls and guys come up with. Doesn't know if she likes ToeJam but sounds like it.

This show is awful and the cast knows it!

As the bell rings is the worst show on Disney channel!And if the producers wanted more viewers for Disney channel they'd fire the cast of As the bell rings and cancel the show. They are the worst actors ever their jokes make my uncle's joke look like star of the night.I bet people who watch this show say praise the lord it's only 5 minutes. Please cancel this weird show! If any celebrity saw this crap they would sew the company, plus they would make sure those actors never got a job in this country. When my mom saw this show she almost broke the TV set. And i nearly past out this show can force small children to do odd rude disrespectful things.(there was no 0 so i gave it a 1/10 they should atleasr get credit.

OK so Disney Channel has had some really stupid shorts. Actually Disney channel has some pretty stupid shows! So I was kind of nervous about this show. I decided to watch it because: 1. Danny and Toejam looked pretty hot. 2. It's only 5 minutes. If I didn't like it, it's not like I would suffer long. 3. I like live action stuff more than cartoon stuff. Well, this show is pretty good. It's better than most people would probably expect. Yes it has a laugh track. I hate laugh tracks and they're annoying. But practically everything does these days. Now that I have seen a lot of the episodes I just wish it were longer! The show is pretty much what really happens in high school. The time in between classes are the only time to hang out with friends. So watch it. If you don't like it, at least it's only 5 minutes.

Disney channel is definitely starting to lose its touch. i remember when it was worth watching it, now with all these stupid shows that don't even make sense. the acting is horrible, the jokes are stupid and the actors/actresses are trying too hard. some shows are okay but others are like really stupid, like That's So Raven was an OK show but then they had to go make Cory in the House? what the hell, that was really stupid. NOw they add this crap with terrible actors? At least give them a few acting lessons before letting them act, especially on national television. I think that's a sin against humanity. And you can't tell me "oh, the actors are new, give them a chance." i don't have to besides i went to the same middle and i'm in the same high school as one of the girls, she was in Magnet Drama for three years, and she still can't act even after 3 years, she needs a few lessons, as do all of the other cast members.

Get this show off the TV!!

I don't like this show.. Infackt I hate it! I don't know how it is possible for Disney to make something like this.. It looks like they did not have enough money to make something good.. The jokes are awful and I don't like the way they talk to the people who are watching the series.. I cant say anything positive about it and every time I see it I shut the TV down.. I would rather look at a black TV skreen than look at this show!! It is a waste of time both for the watcher and the cast on the show.. If Disneychannel absorlutly have to fill in five extra minutes of TV, then just send a classical Disney cartoon or a music video that would be nice!! Get it out from my TV!!

This show is utter trash and makes me sick, the jokes the acting all of it. It's all way too rehearsed the ability to make people laugh should not be forced unto ones mind it has to be natural. The only thing entertaining about it is watching these unknown teens make fools of themselves. And what characters name "Toejam" that sounds a lot to me like their obviously trying to hard to be funny. The crude humor is not good for the youths and teaches men to objectify women. The teens do not relate to any kid in any way. This show is not doing Disney Channel any justice with its weird features or teens like Tony Oller and that other girl who try to be "hot" or whatever teens these days call it it's not working so don't go pulling the 'Zac Efron". If any of you people posting good comments on this show or skit were sane you would be saying the same.

I wish i could give it a negative rating. this is the worst garbage i have ever seen in my entire life. this has reaffirmed my belief that acting in a Disney production takes no skill or training, and very little brain activity.

this short series is reminiscent of a hurried boss, running around the office looking for something to fill a hole with. suddenly, the fat co-worker throws up on the floor and then the producer decides to videotape the incident and put it on national TV. don't watch this. it will make some people suicidal.

I LOVE THE SHOW AS THE BELL RINGS! Yes Disney Channel needs to make it from 5 minutes to 30 minutes. Sometimes the show is less than 5 minutes, but either way I love the show!! I think, in my own opinion, that it's hilarious. Plus Toejam (Seth Ginsberg) and Danny (Tony Oller) are super cute! Please support the show and these guys and the others on the show! Some people might think the whole idea of this show is stupid, and shouldn't deserve to be on Disney Channel, but I think that it should be on Disney for a long time! The acting of some of them needs work, but it's good enough don't you think? So please support the show, give it a change, and support the people on the show (plus support Tony Oller and his band!)

Well... When I found about this show and when I saw the title of the show I thought it looked totally stupid! But then I an episode of this show and I was like this was a pretty good show. Because of those two guys Seth Ginsberg (Toejam) and Tony Oller (Danny) I thought they were cute. Maybe thats why I like this show so much. But you know this show is pretty good. So if you never heard of this show and don't like it, then you know you should pay attention. Or you should just pay attention to the cute boys! If you haven't seen this show then you should check www.tvguide.com and then type in As The Bell Rings. And then see when its on and tune in to see a couple of cute boys and some good of a show!

Funny Show

I really, really like this show. I thought it had a really good first season, and i'm excited for the second season. It sucks that Demi Lovato had to leave, but i'm excited to see the new girl. Even though it's only 5 minutes or less, the show has some funny situations that happens in everyday teen life. I like the Charlotte/Danny situation, and i love how his friends and her friends always try to help them get together (even though now it cant happen because Charlotte's leaving). The funniest people on the show are Toejam, Tiffany, and Skipper. Tiffany is the dumb blonde and Skipper has a huge crush on Tiffany, and i don't know why i think Toejam is the funniest, i just think he's funny. All in all, good show. It's definitely a show you should consider and give a try.
