As a long time boater there are two issues I am uncomfortable with. First with Sevaride on the whaler with engine trouble. This does happen, but there are two outboards. They are completely independent of each other, and as such one outboard would be capable of bringing the boat to harbor without the need of a tow as shown in the episode.
Then we have the event with the cruiser crashing into a dock finger. Although rare, this does happen and I can attest to witness such an issue back in the past. Not me of course, but if your craft has such an incident, and especially if there is someone off the transom as in this episode, the first thing the captain does is power off the engines! It should never be a second thought!
