Some big changes of Meg.

(4 out of 5 stars).

Good cast. Great acting. The actors of Meg are facing publicity backlashes one being caught up from there illegal troubles. A girl getting backlashed for her race. Sure, this can be related to modern times when a character that audiences have known to be white is casted differently. And the negative responses people have with it. It is all the talent and taking chances that trying something new can be a better change. Meanwhile, the director is facing trouble with the set design and production budget. While Jack discovers some shocking news.

Kintsugi

Broken, Flawed, painful, emotionally gripping. This show does a profound job at capturing the style and tone of the 1940's through beautiful uses of jazz and this square and flat style of cinematography. It builds a world that, like my childhood imagination feels so real. I think one of the biggest reasons for this is the perfect characterization. I say that not meaning it cannot get better than this show, but the style, dialogue, acting, and directing are so perfectly coordinated with each other it's hard to suggest any changes.

I feel like the best way to explain what I mean is by looking at the characters, Each and every one has hurt someone else, they have lied, cheated, abused, yelled at, and yet you don't see them through that one dimensional eye. You see the person behind it, the forgiveness of others, the hypocrisy of themselves.

That is what i mean by titling this review Kintsugi , the idea that even though every single one of these characters are flawed, abusive, promiscuous, no-one is worse than another, and it doesn't cover their character in a single light. it highlights their flaws and shows what makes them human.

Novos Caminhos

Warning: Spoilers
Hollywood (2020)

Series

1st Season

Episode Five - Novos Caminhos

I've gotten so used to Darren Criss in other roles, that watching him in this series, it seems like at any moment he's going to come out singing and killing closeted old gays.

In my opinion (which is worthless), the dramatic part of this series is very bad, as I can't take any of these actors seriously.

For example, Jim Parsons in one episode had a monologue about his past with another guy and he couldn't convey any emotion and that goes for all actors and actresses in this series, from the oldest to the youngest.

Episode five of the first season of the Hollywood Miniseries watched on May 22, 2024.

Rating: 7/10.

Took the Jump, thumbled on the landing...
parkerama2 May 2020
Alright Episode 5. It was great to have it start off introducing Queen Latifah's character. Always a breathe of fresh air, so the episode really went up for me.

However again the show is coming close to an end and it appears what the show has been for the last couple episodes, is how the feel of the rest of the season is going to go. Story is fun, but the Arch's are far and few inbetween. Whatever story is more advanced then just talking about the movies, there aren't many levels to it.

I hate to talk bad but it's just not the levels in used to having with a Ryan Murphy Production .

Still watched and will continue to watch, so I have it 6 stars as it hasn't wowed me to an 8 or higher.

**There was a moment with Hellen and Dyck that was very nice to watch, but I wonder if they will brush up on that more. It feels the whole first season is just introducing characters and not diving deep.

Fairly good

Not bad, though it's starting to feel a bit one note, not as exciting or glamorous as the previous episodes.

Racial Tokenism
j-654013 May 2020
I just cannot believe someone who has dived into racial issues so profoundly in earlier works (People vs OJ SImpson, The Assasination of Gianni Versace) failed to offer a much deeper reckoning. Although its a fictional, it does not feel logically credible.
