Slimey Rupert

Gotta say for a souless company, Apple has actually managed to create a show with heart.

Rupert Mannion is 100% what would happen in real life if a scumbag billionaire was a slimey, cheating pleb, and that is nobody would bat an eyelid and just expect the cheated on wife to deal with it.

They've done well to make you, the viewer, hate him.

This show continues to improve episode to episode. It is still not great, but this had a lot of laughs and had heart too.

Apple TV definitely has something with Ted Lasso.

Becca

In this episode, we get a deeper look into Becca and an introduction to Rupert which in turn, providers the audience an insight to what their relationship may have looked like. I love this storyline because i think it's rather realistic.

Love that Roy and Jamie are somewhat respecting each other and that Kelsey is making smarter decisions! Great episode.

Pretty good episode

Pretty good episode, second half of the episode is much better and the episode focuses less on ted so we get a view of what happens to the side characters so that's great! But the episode is defiantly not a 9.2

For the Children Warning: Spoilers
Not as good as the last episode but still a good episode. Plenty of good jokes and the plot was good. Still very interested in what will happen next, not sure what else to say really, that I haven't said in previous reviewers or that hasn't been said by others already. So perhaps I shall leave it at this: Ted Lasso is definitely going somewhere, and I want to be there watching every step of the way.

How many episodes are there that are just very very good? According to this app, it said that the very first season was the best season in the show, but the best episode was all the way in the last season, which was the last episode. Anyways, my favorite characters in this episode were Ted, Rebecca, and Keeley, and my favorite things about this episode were the music, Dialogue, and the storyline and plot. I personally loved this episode, and this show just be a little higher rated, because this was just a funny episode to watch, including the entire series so far. I am wondering if they will keep the comedy up the whole series.

Further Exposition
Hitchcoc22 February 2024
When Rebecca goes on with a charity event that her ex-husband used to dominate, it pulls together all the forces at work in this series. The two adversaries on the team. The bullies and their victims. And some couples. And Rebecca and her ex who is still trying to show her up by dominating the event. She goes along with it because, as he knows, it's a charity event and it would be cruel for her to pull back. He is a consummate jerk. There is a very good scene near the end involving the music that replace the guy who pulled out. This proves to be the venue for Ted to evaluate what he is dealing with. Meanwhile. His wife is not answering his calls, even though there is a child involved.

Ted Lasso and Coach Beard know that the football dressing room is divided.

Jamie Tartt encourages his lackeys to bully Nathan, despite Roy Kent telling Jamie to stop it.

Ted tries to bring both of them together and bury their differences.

Meanwhile Rebecca Welton has an annual charity fundraiser. This year she will be doing it on her own. The booked guest singer, Robbie Williams cancels at the last minute.

Her ex husband Rupert Mannion (Anthony Head) shows up. He even claims to have Robbie William's phone number and can call him to up rearrange his plans. Ted deduces that it was Rupert that got Robbie to cancel in the first place.

Another episode where Rebecca learns the value of Ted. He too sees through her ex husband's oily superficial charm.

Love this show, do not love this episode

Ted Lasso is winning us all over. It has become appointment watching. That is, until this episode.

The show was on such a wonderful, funny and lovable run. This episode seemed like it had different writers. It felt like it also had a much lower budget. The first scene was great and there were a few lines interspersed that were funny, but I spent most of the fourth installment cringing.

I still am a big fan of this show. Really hoping for a bounce back to what I love about it in the next episode.

Well, what a shame this sorry story was.

Different from previous episodes, I guess it was more aimed at the female audience looking at relationships and having a player have his torso on show.

The previous episodes haven't been great, generally having one or two great lines but there was no humour here at all.

It's a mid-season fame like that away game on Boxing Day no one wants to perform at but there is money and TV rights to consider.

They don't have shows like this on the major channels in the UK.

I don't generally watch Sky but the few shows I have seen there are like this Mad Dogs and A Town Called Malice were glitzy but had lite substance and this seems to be the same.

In need of improvement and the writers need to be accountable for what they did to this episode.
