So Dumb But Addicting
tikitim-7652019 October 2021
So I started watching this show and thought it was so ridiculous and didn't plan on watching more than the first episode. However the more I watched it the more I was glued to it. It is so dumb but it makes me laugh especially when they go into the woods. The kills are hilarious and the music cracks me up as well. It definitely has an '80s slash survive and is very entertaining.

Definitely A Guilty Pleasure

Patterned after a staple of the American horror film genre---the summer camp---this British production was actually filmed in Lithuania, they say. The version I am watching in the U.S. has the campers competing for American dollars.

Eleven strangers are taken to a remote camp location where they believe they are going to appear on a show about a summer camp, but find they are actually going to "Killer Camp", where a psychotic maniac stalks the grounds and (surprise) one of the campers is a killer.

Daily activities include competitions where they may earn money, or clues to the killer's identity, or immunity from being "killed". Every night the killer mandates the gruesome killing of a single camper. The clues are often vague, like "The killer loves peanut butter".

Along the way, alliances are formed, accusations are leveled, and the camp director-Bobby---contributes his dark humor.

Some viewers may not like the gory representations of death. (They show blood splattering everywhere, but they blur out the cheeks of some women when they wear bathing suits in the version I am watching.)

To appreciate this show, it helps if you like its campiness and its tongue-in-cheek tone.

It seemed like something was missing until episode 3, when the campers finally were allowed to formally guess the identity of the killer. And a significant twist was revealed that earned the series an extra star from me.

If there are any other major developments, "I'll be right back."

Bloody good fun

11 campers try and figure out who amongst them is a murderer. The trailer looked pretty good so gave it a go and I wasn't disappointed. Would recommend this. It's a good laugh, bit of fun & was just a shame there wasn't more episodes. Let's hope for a season 2 next Halloween!

Warning: Spoilers
I caught an episode while channel surfing and all I can say is, has tv fallen this low? Now I didn't see the first few episodes so maybe they were better but I doubt it. The MC/camp councilor is so over the top he makes Shatner seem subdued. He's also so grating that I would have given more stars if the contestants ganged up and bumped him off. The mentioned that someone had been outed as the Killer but (surprise!!) there was a second killer! The contestants cry like someone's actually been killed. All in all it felt incredibly contrived and makes Troll 2 look like Casablanca.

Hilariously ghoulish

A bunch of young brits set against each other in a vintage American Summer Camp with a serial killer amongst them and one gets killed off at the beginning of the first episode. Nasty games to compete for immunity from being killed off that night. Could never ever watch love island, watch a bit of I'm a celebrity, but this is awesome

Greatest reality show of all time?
asmanraj16 August 2020
This is a reality show for people like me who hate reality TV. I find most reality TV dreadfully boring and fake, but this show was fantastic. It's a faux murder-mystery/whodunit game show. If you are a horror fanatic like me, you will probably love it. Now that this show is over I am having withdrawal because there was no other show like it on TV. More shows like this, please!

Addictive but cheesy!!
heidibingham17 October 2022
Great concept and well done. It was a bit cheesy in places but also brutal at the same time with peoples emotions.

Great people were picked to take part in the first season (I'm about to start season 2). They all seem suspicious but innocent at the same time.

It could have been a straightforward guess the killer game but throwing in all the physical and mental challenges too made it both funny and serious at times.

Great to see different peoples true personalities coming through after lots of 'judging the book by the cover'

They should definitely do more seasons. I'm going to start season 2 now!

Killer idea with one flaw
boodamckenzo16 August 2020
I started off a bit confused why they put an entire cast from the U.K. in an American summer camp. The killers were British, but the counselor who they were as growing up there was American. That left me a bit confused. The activities, clues, and knocking a cast member off every episode were cool. At one point or another, I thought half the cast was the killer. Eleanor & Carl were my main suspects. I'd of definitely kept watching if they extended it to further seasons.

Warning: Spoilers
How do you try and message strangers who were in the show to ask questions about what it's was like strangers being killed in the game and what was everything else like in the show. Has the show stopped from COVID stuff that happened. Do you think COVID is even real like the government saids do you trust and believe them. Alot of debates about COVID. Do strangers believe in day dreams about things sometimes. Ever see vissgons while harvf a sleep about what could be. Or ever have times you wished you were alot better doing more. Not stuck getting nowhere in life how meny people have that from money ishews and auther things. If something was free working in there favor how that would shock alot of people if everything whent there way just once in there life's. Is that like that for money one little thing holds people back from ever achieving golds and dreams just one little thing can be so powerful sometimes agenst people.
