The Blair B*tch Project (#1.14)
ComedyFan201025 April 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Blair and Jenny's rivalry was fun to watch. It probably will go on for some time now. In this story we also see Jenny struggle to belong into the rich crowd. The dress story was pretty good. The Chuck and things sent to Serena was not bad but I guess it was the preview for something bigger. Some "G" is coming back. Btw, I find their habit of calling each other by the first letter of the name kind of stupid. Do they have no imagination for better nicknames? I especially like Blair and Serena together, BS.

Jenny sells her soul to break into the middle classes
marthawilcox183117 August 2014
Blair begins the episode by mourning her former life. Later, she accuses Chuck of being friendless and girlfriendless because of his diabolical ways. However, there are people who are friendless and companionless but are not diabolical. Chuck isn't a sympathetic character, but he is played very well albeit with a weak smile.

Again, we get a strong sense of Jenny's character who sells her sewing machine in order to earn the money to buy her way into middle class society. It can be quite expensive trying to socialise with the middle classes. I ended up in overdraft and scrounging for drinks whilst doing the socialising thing. Luckily I didn't have to sell anything, but keeping up appearances amongst the middle classes is expensive.

The One After Spring Break...

Warning: Spoilers
I don't mind this episode. It's not great, but it's better than sub-par. It's surprisingly a little sad to see Blair, the Queen of the Upper West Side, dethroned, and desperate.

In this episode, Blair finally stops hiding, and after three weeks, returns to school, with the support of Serena. But it's not easy being out of the clique. Blair quickly learns it's more horrible than she imagined, and ends up with ice cream in her hair. Meanwhile, Dan returns home from visiting his Mother, and discovers that Jenny is well on her way to becoming a full-fledged member of the "It Crowd". Also, Serena has to get used to living with Chuck, and he's not making it easy. Especially since he's the prime suspect in some disturbing packages that are arriving.

Best part of the episode: Blair.

Worst part of the episode: Dan.

Overall, I give this episode a 6 out of 10, which in my ratings book is: Good.
