Sex & Nudity

- There is sexual innuendo and brief frontal female nudity when Casper is meeting his girlfriend.
- Two scenes of attempted rape, but neither is carried through.
Violence & Gore

- The entire movie deals with gang activity in Central America and Mexico and shows brutal gang violence.
- A boy is beaten down and kicked as a gang initiation and later as punishment for lying. This quite disturbing the first time you see it.
- Two men get a child to execute a gang prisoner and we later see his insides being fed to dogs.
- A man attempts to rape a girl but she hits her head against a rock trying to escape and dies. Some blood is shown and we see her lying motionless.
- Gang members board a train to rob immigrants who are riding through Mexico towards Texas. They threaten passengers with knives and guns and take their money and valuables. One of men put a gun to one of the passenger's head and tries to rape her but another gang member clubs him with a machete. Blood spray is shown. This is a very disturbing scene as the passenger is in a lot of distress.
- A gang member's corpse is seen by a child. One of his legs has been severed from falling off a train.
- Rival gangs exchange fire in a street (no one is shown killed here, only people cowering behind a car and shooting back).
- A man is shot down and we see blood soaking the back of his shirt. As he falls down, several other gang members come and shoot the body and then kick his body into a river. This is a very sad scene.
- A young boy is seen receiving a tattoo on the inside of his lower lip as a gang initiation.

- Several F-words and other mild obscenities throughout.

- Many characters are shown smoking throughout the film. A few are seen drinking alcohol on occasion.
Frightening & Intense Scenes

- As the whole movie deals with gang violence most of it is very difficult to watch and has very intense material. It is very chilling throughout. There are two scenes of attempted rape and several brutal killings are seen.
