Rich: and chaperoned field trips in the missions. And you know what so many strangers say to me? Your daughters are fantastic. Oh, I say, they're not my daughters. But I wish they were my daughters, because they are fantastic and you know what else? It has been my pure pleasure watching them grow up and being there for them and I can't imagine my life without them. Excuse me.

Sublime
The episode is a tour de force of filmmaking, a gem of so many fragments of lives. And what did Duke whisper in the ear of her father, who was there in a rare show of support but was a focus of resentment... so she asked to whisper in his ear and did so and then his face hardened and he stood back as she slowly walked away from him and we were never told what she said. That's the kind of choices that are sublime.
