R.I.P. Quibi, again.
It seems even the Roku Channel is not free from The Great Streaming Purge of the 2020s. According to a report in Variety, over 35 notable Roku Original shows are to be removed from the streaming service sometime in the near future. This comes after multiple other services have removed shows and movies, many of them high-profile releases, from their feeds in order to cut costs. HBO Max — now merely Max — infamously removed a lot of their original films back in August of 2022, while multiple TV shows and movies were taken off of Hulu and Disney+ in May of 2023 for similar reasons. One might assume that a free, ad-supported service like the Roku Channel would be free from the caprices of the streaming market, but that is not so. The line of Roku Originals will be brought to an end.
Roku Originals, some may recall, were not Roku originals.

It’s not too much of a stretch to say that Adam Sandler is one of the most divisive personalities in modern-day Hollywood. His films often pull in big numbers at the box office and find themselves with millions of viewers if they’re Netflix exclusives, but his lowbrow comedic efforts are almost always savaged by critics.
That being said, he’s more than capable of venturing outside of his comfort zone to deliver strong dramatic performances, just like he did in the recent Uncut Gems, with many even predicting during awards season that he could end up with a Best Actor Oscar nod. Of course, that didn’t happen, but Sandler did some absolutely terrific work in the movie and now that it’s landed on Netflix, it seems subscribers just can’t get enough of it.

Some mornings just aren't complete without a caffeine boost, and now you can enjoy your daily cup of coffee right alongside Joe Jonas - well, virtually, anyway. Jonas's new coffee-themed miniseries, Cup of Joe, is inspired by his eponymous Instagram account, according to a press release, and the trailer hints at the show being about more than just his favorite spots to grab an espresso.
Filmed during the Jonas Brothers' Happiness Begins tour, the eight-part travel series follows Jonas from city to city as he makes pit stops in between concert venues to sample some of the best coffee that local shops have to offer. Along the way, he'll make a couple detours with a few famous friends, including wife Sophie Turner, Tina Fey, Matthew McConaughey, Jack Black, Lewis Capaldi, David Hasselhoff, Nicole Scherzinger, and Lewis Hamilton. The show will also combine Jonas's love for "travel, photography, and adventure" as...
