Breaking the formula of the first 2 seasons
evansjoshyr15 October 2021
In the finale of season 2, I was really worried they were milking this concept and season 3 would just be another season of Joe chasing another girl. After the first episode I am happy to say this absolutely not the case. This episode went out of the box making it feel completely fresh from the previous 2 seasons. I am excited to see what comes next.

On Why This Episode Is The Perfect Continuation
Oktay_Tuna21 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
In the finale of the second season, we are disappointed to see that Joe doesn't love Love anymore because what he thinks of love is just some fantasy he created as a defense mechanism and in this episode we continue seeing that this hasn't changed. Joe wants to change, Joe thinks he changes that's why we see the story the way it plays out. We think Joe has changed while having sex with Love because he wants to make himself believe that but in the end he doesn't. He believes in finding the perfect person and despises the people on the opposite sex who have his traits because in the end, even though unadmittedly, Joe hates himself and then also hates Love. This thing was explored a lot in the previous 2 seasons and what makes this episode and hopefully this season different will be how Love views things and how this affects Joe. I want to see some character change happening in Joe, for better or worse, I just want this change to be believable and I think his relationship with Love can accomplish that change. I also liked the death of the neighbor because it didn't come as a surprise for me, it was what Joe would have done(also had done for Beck and Love) so Love with some of the same traits as Joe doing the same thing("protecting" Joe from others) is only natural.

Weak start, thank god there was a twist
jennipilz15 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I was seriously concerned the new season would be just like the others. Thank god love took care of that. Not really hooked yet but will give it a go.

One thing really irritated me.. Why is there this blurry vignette? Just checked it on the TV and my iPhone. Doesn't seem to be my eyesight and my TV is alright. It's super annoying and distracting. So much that I'm turning the TV off now after just one episode or watch something else..

Just the start you wanted
animesh-5418315 October 2021
The foundation has been laid for a roller coaster that's been expected from this show. The whole way from here is towards a series of shock, excitement and craziness. Loooking forward for the coming episodes.

Okay, What a Comeback
shaanraval15 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
First episode and all that hype was totally worth it! Just out of the box comeback. I swear no one expected that lol. Mr & Mrs Murder Family are back and with a bang this time! The new cast has been good so far. What's really exciting is where are they taking this after diving right into the plot and going all in itself in the very first episode.

Amazing Start
urikasei15 October 2021
I really like the tone of this season. Definitely better than season2. I just finished the episode 1 and im going for the next one really excited. I used to think that love and joe duo could get boring over the time but it was not.

Okay, I'm loving the new direction. Is has surprised and delighted me. I was exited for the new season anyway because I've enjoyed the last 2. But now I am so pumped to see where this goes and the damage these two can cause, and inflict on one another. Have some extra villains on the side too so...yep, yay!! Just bummed I didn't start it until 9PM, because know I'll be up all dam* night haha!

I should have expected that ending, huh....
dylanjakerichmond26 October 2021
Woah. While I don't know if I'm gonna warm up to this new cast as quickly as I did for season 2's, this was an interesting new direction and set of conflicts for our dynamic duo to go through. Let's see where this goes.

not the cliche anymore
nikolasherpin16 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The thing i loved the most is that the episode is completly different from the first episode of season one and two. Let's be honest, season two's first four-five episodes were pretty much the same as the firsts episodes of season one. Beyond that, here we have a lot happening and a lot of things as natalies' death, for example, made the start really great and strong.

[6.9] The artificial family and neighbor
cjonesas26 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
An interesting yet disappointing start, that's too slow and uninteresting besides Joe taking care of and talking to his baby boy. The whole feel of this first episode is just artificial.

Could be better
camboallen15 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Look I like this show. It's not amazing or anything but decent. That being said this episode disappointed me. A few things first of all, this episode made me realize how much this show wants to be like dexter. There are multiple similarities from the inner monologues to the whole creepy guy moves to the Suburbs with a family thing to having 2 killers be a couple. There are a couple I didnt mention but it feels like it's trying to be dexter without the wit or charm. Another thing is almost every side character is annoying. I don't know if they're supposed to be a mockery of stereo types or what, but every side character especially in this episode came across as trying to be edgy and pretentious. Last thing, the ending seemed like it was done mainly for shock value. They could've done the Natalie plotline for at least one more episode but it feels like they're running out of ideas. Overall, this is an okay episode with writing that could've been better so far not a great season opener so just have to see if the season gets better.

Meh...
bombersflyup16 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Yeah not a good start, there's as much bad as good if not more, even putrid. Doesn't seem to be going in any new direction, other than Joe becoming restrained, Love's exactly on the same path. Why introduce this Natalie as a central character of the episode and just kill her off, so effectively nothing has happened.

What's the hurry?
jamericanbeauty18 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Season 2 ended with Joe stalking his next prey - his next-door neighbor. We don't see her face. Joe analyzes her and her books and became intrigued. Was it his long-lost Mom? Was it a nightmare next-door? Season 3 Episode 1 rolls up and we meet her. She's beautiful real estate agent Natalie with supermodel height and killer cheekbones and she doesn't quite fit into the stuffy, affluent suburbs, just like Joe. She and Joe meet, flirt, connect intellectually, kiss until Joe stopped it from going further. Later, Love and Natalie meet at a mutual neighbor's party, chat about the catty suburban housewives and Love's passion for baking and feeling lost as a new Mother. Natalie later shows Love a nice bakery spot for rent. Love lures her to the basement and kills Natalie. We see through flashbacks, Love was aware of Joe's infatuation with Natalie. Whew! Slow down showrunners! By offing Natalie so fast, you killed the tension and Joe's temptation, thereby killing his character development as a new Husband and Father, battling the predator within. We never got to see the tension between Natalie's Husband and Joe, if or when he found out something was going on. Hell, we don't even see scenes between Natalie and her Husband. Love's jealous so Natalie has to go. And when did Love become such a short fuse? She patiently studied Joe in Season 2 and her personality was a sweet exterior with sudden violent rage if Joe's true nature was going to be exposed by an ex or to protect her Brother Forty as kids. Now, she casually says she'd like to stab a condescending Mommy blogger who merely annoyed her. Slow down show. Also, I'm not feeling the new Peach/Mommy Blogger. Shay Mitchell killed that role in Season 1 and it cannot be duplicated!

Season 3. A huge disappointment.
Pzachlen17 October 2021
I was totally into season I and 2. Season 3 leaves much to be desired. There is some really bad acting which I was never aware of before. Also why was it needed for all those childhood flashbacks. All children experience bad things while growing up, some worse than others, however they do NOT turn into serial killers. I binge watched the total season in two days.

Joe and Love get married at the courthouse. They move to the suburbs in San Francisco for the schools. Joe is attracted to their neighbour.

just kill love already
abortamir31 January 2022
She's too ugly to look at which makes it so undesirable to watch. It's too slow paced, I have to fast forward all the bs that they are talking with. Seems like Joe isn't relevant anymore.
