What Global Economic Meltdown does to mf
markosepjr20 November 2021
POSTAL III is basically what happens when global economic meltdown ruins everything.

Basically, Russia got f++++d by that meltdown so bad it affected Akella which lead to employees getting fired and because they didn't have enough budget, they couldn't pay their employees.

And that's how POSTAL III became poop.

The game retcons POSTAL 2 which may confuse some POSTAL veterans. Story is mostly awkward at the time, but it can by funny when taken out of context.

Mechanics are broken, especially the Moral System (which doesn't fit the game) and kick. Some weapons don't work that well.

I ain't sure if the engine the game was worked on is outdated.

Also, the game can crash at certain time.

What I liked about this game was that the art style looked decent enough, Corey Cruise was a great replacement for Rick Hunter who had problems with relationship at the time and the soundtrack is awesome.

Luckily, POSTAL 2 mod and Catharsis Reborn can hopefully give us more definitive POSTAL III.

I recommend you to play POSTAL 2 instead.

Igra - govno and it stinks

The 3d person in this game is simply awkward. It is no "Max Payne", so the shift from the enjoyable 1st person view of "Postal 2" is not just a drawback. It's the pits. Is there anyone who enjoys the 3rd person here? To hell with this game with its stupid 3d person, unfavourable camera angles, uncomfortable controls (btw the character cannot jump and crouch and it is no joke), very linear game play, no atmosphere and engagement (in "Postal 2" there was a real feeling of the living town somewhere in America, while here you just have to moronically beat one mini game after another and have no idea how you got here) and crazy hardware demands (really, in "Postal 2" you could just walk about and enjoy the smooth picture even when the action got real tough with many blows, fires, and shootings on screen - a mid-range PC was able to deal with it perfectly with max video/audio details and resolution). Here you take a two-year old "quad" PC with Vista, make all the video details and resolution minimum and the game still slows down drastically and produces lags and jerks whenever the action gets lively. And the story here is simply non-existent - it starts with some kind of zombies and SWAT team members, then suddenly jumps to the city, then to the shop, and you have no control over the happenings at all (while in "Postal 2" you could really follow the plot with interest, carry out the tasks in any order you like, and you were not fed up to the teeth with repetitive cut scenes - you had to walk to some special place marked on the map, which really was like in real life). Against the background of all these negative points the previous installation with its numerous loading screens seems to be perfect.

Maybe there is one good thing about this game - the original menu music. It rocks, at least a bit...

It deserves "The Worst Game of the Year" prize or simply "Govno of the Year" (and NOT for its political incorrectness - and that alone speaks volumes). Especially on the grounds that there have been very high expectations. Verdict: rubbish, a 1 out of 10. Do not spend your cash on this piece of you-know-what and keep far away. Thanks for attention.
