What a great surprise!

I was skeptical to say the least when I heard this show was being made. I decided to give it a shot anyway when the first episode premiered and loved it! This whole season has kept me laughing and enjoying every minute of it. It really was a great surprise and this episode did a great job closing up the season.

What a season! The finale wasn't as action-packed as expected but the climax of the episode was great. Can't wait to see where they take Ivy and Harley's relationship after this. This is the Harley Quinn we all want! Wait.... SEASON TWO IS IN APRIL!?!? Man i love this show.

See the show was good enough with Harley and her crew I was really enjoying. But why was batman introduced(I am fed up of comical version of batman)??? Ok he is introduced no problem, failed!!! Still Ok, captured ok, humiliated....ooooo........kkkk but UNMASKED?!?! Well except batman who laughs(and superman) no one knew untill he wanted. C'mon you dont need to humiliate someone to proof another's greatness.

Season One Review

Over on the Eastern side of the Atlantic, the "Harley Quinn" series has just finished a late night airing on E4, presumably held back a little to coincide with the "Birds of Prey" movie".

After finally realising that she's wasting her life with Joker (Alan Tudyk), Harley Quinn (Kaley Cuoco) decides to cut loose from the clown prince and start her own criminal enterprise with the ultimate aim of being accepted into The Legion of Doom on her own merit. Inspired by the unwavering support of her best friend, Poison Ivy (Lake Bell), Harley forms her own gang and tries to make a name for herself, but Gotham PD, the Dark Knight and her vicious ex all stand in her way.

So I'd say that I feel mixed to positive, overall about the Harley Quinn show. There are some elements that I really like, occasionally there were some decent and well observed jokes about the Batman universe. There are some aspects that I enjoyed all the way through, I didn't much care for Tudyk's Joker, either in vocal performance or the way he was drawn, but he has a second role as the shapeshifting, classically trained actor Clayface, which is a lot more fun and consistently funny. Killer Shark, voiced by Ron Funches, and Bane, voice by James Adomian also added a lot and Lake Bell's Poison Ivy is really wonderful.

But, overall, the writing is a bit too convinced that swearing, in and of itself, is so inherently funny that it's enough to get by, and that's not the case. (I'm not complaining about the swearing, I'm fine with it, I just wish there were more actual jokes, or observations to take it to the next level). The visuals are. . reasonable, but either stylistically lacking or missing fine details to really sell the world.

Overall, it's good enough to make me keep watching, and I'll be back for the second season, presuming that it airs over here, but it's mixed writing keeps it from scoring higher.
