A solid conclusion.

The Cold case team continue to investigate the discovery of four bodies at Marlowe House, and try to understand exactly what Mrs Baptiste's presence was all about. Spencer takes himself of the case.

I don't think Final cut is going to be anyone's favourite episode, but there is still some good stuff here to enjoy, it is a pretty solid, if unremarkable end to the third series.

It continues to be a good story for Spencer, and I really did enjoy the exploration of his character, Wil Johnson was always great, here I thought he was fantastic, I enjoyed seeing his character battling his own demons.

There are still too many flashbacks, and some of the footage is a little too dark. I notice that some scenes have been cut for iPlayer, the DVD is uncut. Some of it is perhaps a little challenging to follow and piece together, there's a lot of smoke and mirrors.

The acting is a mixed bag, Earl Cameron and Sharon D Clarke are both very good, as for Ken Russell.... well you know what you're going to get.

A mixed bag, but still pretty good.

7/10.
