Sex & Nudity

  • S1E2 - there is a painting on the wall of a naked woman with large breast. It shows this over and over for about 30 seconds.
  • S2E2 There are slides being shown during a Q&A session. One of the slides show a woman breast feeding a baby. The breast is shown with baby on it.
  • No male nudity is offered.
  • Episode 1 is about kidnapped and sexually abused girls. Pornographic pictures are briefly shown in a book. A man has a disturbing painting of the daughter he is raping. The daughter briefly talks about the abuse.
  • Episode 2 is also partly about a raped girl.

Violence & Gore

  • Each episode revolves around a murder investigation.
  • Most episodes show a dead body and some blood spatter, but not too much gore.
  • One episode in series one shows several people's heads being cut into from behind by an attacker with an axe.
  • Characters are shot, with blood being shown around the wounds and on the victim's clothing and surroundings.
  • Most of the brutal killings are not shown on camera.

Profanity

  • Mild swear words like "damn" and "hell" are used at times. Occasional use of "shit" and "asshole".

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Most episodes start with a murder. Some of the scenes leading up to the murders include people being stalked, and this can be fairly scary for young viewers.
  • Series 2 Episode 3 depicts a ghastly corpse impaled on sharpened bamboo reeds.
