I hope you there's somehow a demise with them, but they're ruining the show and it's uncomfortable to watch these teachers Stalk these students. Honestly, I find it relatively entertaining minus the faculty. Xoxo GG.

This is why I hate that people are trying to rate this series so low after ONE episode.
Do people not realize that series build up tension, I thin a lot of these reviewers are used to binging a entire season in a day now.. the original Gossip Girl didn't even have much drama the first half of season 1. It didn't become over the top and soapy until later seasons with constant drama.
I'm over the unfair biases and judgment toward this series, it's getting weird..
This episode basically improved on everything the pilot lacked. The characters and everyone's chemistry was so much better in this episode, and the dynamics of everyone was amazing.
The plot is getting interesting, and you can see all the seeds being planted for everything to come out. I can't wait for next week's episode!!!

Stop comparing this one with the old one because there are a lot of differences and they are totally not the samee. If u start to really enjoy it and not be skeptical about it u will see its beauty. The first episode didnt really have that much chemistry, but this oner was absolutely amazing!! Everything is going in the right direction and I really cant wait to see what is going to happen!!!

As a fan of the original series, I was honestly excited for the reboot and to see a new generation be terrorized by the omnipotent Gossip Girl.
Unfortunately, I find this new series lacking in most aspects. The acting, characters, scenes, and even Gossip Girl themself are so lifeless and have none of the zest of the OG.
There's no mystery or thrill to anything that happens on the screen and knowing the identity of GG from the get is disappointing. The creators have said that this series is less concerned with the identity of Gossip Girl and more on the consequences with social media. *cue eye roll* I'm tired of series involving students getting on their soapbox to say that "social media = bad."
I don't buy Julien as the "It" girl of the school. She is literally a puppet and acts on what everyone else around her says/does. I also had no idea that Julien and Audrey are (allegedly) best friends after these first two episodes. They have no chemistry and the entire friend group have no cohesion. Max Wolfe, played by Thomas Doherty, is just Chuck Bass but without the charisma.
I'll continue with the series to see where the story goes and the phenomenal fashion.
On a side note, PLEASE give Monet and Luna their own spin-off or at least ONE episode that focuses on them. They are the only two characters I NEED to see more of and learn more about.

I give it a try for the two episodes. But i think i might give up. There's no tension. No "bloodbath", I tried so hard to not compared it to the Original GG,but i cant help it.
It's boring,,. I think the writer and producers have lost their touch.

I was happy with the pilot, but Im 22 mins in and I'm bored. Writing a review during the actual episode is really saying something. I'm a huge fan of the original but where is the fashion with this reboot. I'm going to stick with the series, unless it gets to be unbearable.

Total trainwreck!!!
I can't even begin to cover all the things wrong with this. The worst is the weird editing though. I can't really put my finger on it, but it seems like the audio is sped up and the scenes have been chopped up and moved around so much that nothing makes sense.
I wish I could blame it on the fact that they hired a music video director to direct and models to act...but the writing is bad too.
I loved the clothes though! The costume director seems to be the only person who has any idea who these characters are or what's going on.
