What a masterpiece

I seriously don't understand the low ratings for this drama. The acting plot and how it unfold is all so good. I would have given 10 if they elaborated the ending a bit more with some more joy.

It's better than you can imagine.

Warning: Spoilers
I'm surprised how good the series is, especially because the mystery genre usually disappoints. The first episodes were indistinct for me to understand, it was also difficult to watch them because a lot of brutality clashes, but also the onslaught of incoherent information only made it difficult at the beginning.

The first part frustrated you because no justice was found. But the second part surprised me a lot more. I thought the focus would only be on the love triangle, but it wasn't. Several related cases were analyzed and a new case was added. In any case, it was kept exciting, although the perpetrators were obvious, as direct clues were given.

You have also been misled about the main character, because you have questioned your guilt and innocence. Again and again, a real roller coaster. He seemed emotionally cold, but on the one hand he had a pure soul deep inside him, but it was hidden from the outside world, just to protect it, since nobody believed him anyway. The actor mastered this character so well that you could only rave about his skills, the neutral face and then that innocent little smile...

The second main male character, the fiancé in the previous life, had also played a character who hide many secrets, although this would not have been thought from his behavior and appearance. At the beginning I couldn't fully understand him because he was so indifferent to his life. The engagement, his work, his loneliness, his life in general as if it had to be, just so that day after day goes by.

Now to the actress, who was heartwarming in the first part and played an equally caring character in the second part, but in a different way, sometimes she even seemed ambivalent to me. Her feelings were confusing because she raved about the police officer and it was probably the case with everyone because the previous self said so, but in the end I was surprised.

It's not often that you come across with a series that brings together the main character with the least expected, the villain. She had justified the feelings towards the cold-hearted student with the fact that she is a completely new person, a new individuality who fell in love with him, while the feelings towards the police officer were only familiarity. However, the victim who was accused suddenly kept his old self, but she didn't. Why? I haven't been able to fully grasp the logic.

Two male protagonists who share something with each other, but feel and act very differently, but one cannot judge both of them that quickly. They are both warm-hearted. The mystery was shown in a good order that could easily understand every connection and context. It was kept very exciting up to the end and was well resolved down to the smallest detail.

The end was pure excitement because another detail was resolved that caused a lot of pain and made the police officer appear in a different light. Now he had to pray for mercy, somehow paradoxically, because he didn't want to believe the good before and maybe give it a chance. After his reincarnation he had to feel how painful it actually is to commit murder.

The characters had changed and learned from their mistakes. However, I would have seen the change of the emotionally cold student, because I had the feeling that he had suddenly only taken over his old identity and that his change only partially blossomed.

Masterpiece
su_wuit_yee7 December 2021
This has everything I could ever hope for, the plot, setting and storytelling. The way how it portrays afterlife and reincarnation is so deep and sentimental.

I'm a Buddhist and I believe in reincarnation., I have seen many people reincarnated from the past lives, including myself. I knew certain things without learning. I spoke to my parents in another language when I was 4 ( without learning it from anyone) I had certain scars on my body and I could tell my parents about them when I was 7. There are just many things that we can't scientifically explain. So I will just stop right here, and enjoy watching this drama. I'm now at episode 10 and i got hooked. Amazing storyline and actors. Strongly recommend!

Amazing Kdrama! #LeeSooHyuk
reviverinpink2 September 2021
The reason I could not give this kdrama a 10 star was I'm very upset over the ending. But this was a fantastic drama from the acting to the music. I was glued the whole time. Huge shout out to the ever so beautiful Lee Soo Hyuk for his stellar acting. I'd watch all over again just for him! Well done!!!

Poor
Park_Min9 May 2023
One of the poorest past-life/reincarnation written stories. I can't stress enough how sloppy and incoherent this was. The entire drama was solely driven by this triangle which is why most things were neglected. I was expecting a smart play between the characters and their reincarnation but what we got is a copy paste between past and present. At the same time, the memories from the past played a minimal role in the grand scheme of things. The characters from the past had the exact same traits as their present counterparts, which made things ever so slightly more dull. I don't know what the writer was aiming for because all I see is failure in all directions. I couldn't get over the fact that they treated the direct point-blank bullet to the head ordeal like a casual broken bone with minor scuffs!!!
