There have been reports that Sekhar Kammula is keen on directing a sequel to the 2010 hit movie Leader. Starring Rana Daggubati in the lead role, it was a political thriller. While fans are eagerly waiting for news about his next movie, reports suggested that the director was not keen on directing a political film right now. He is contemplating on making a film on the lines of Fidaa, which means we can expect a romantic comedy. The film will be produced by Dil Raju, who had bankrolled Fidaa and Leader. Reports state that the director is keen on roping in Vijay Devarakonda of Arjun Reddy fame to play the lead role in the upcoming film. Fidaa, made on a budget of Rs. 13 crore, collected Rs. 90 crore. Written and directed by Sekhar Kammula, the film was produced by Dil Raju under his banner Sri Venkateswara Creations. Varun Tej and Sai Pallavi had played the lead roles in this movie with Sai Chand, Raja Chembolu, Aryan Talla, Geeta Bhaskar, Saranya Pradeep, Satyam Rajesh, Harshvardhan Rane, appearing in pivotal roles. With the director deciding to go ahead with a romantic entertainer yet again, his fans have to wait for a political thriller from him. Making the announcement through his Twitter handle, he wrote, “I have signed another film for another prestigious production house and will be shooting two movies simultaneously.”
Tweeting about his yet another project that is being produced by Ak Entertainment, he wrote, “Hundreds of talented young actors have been auditioned 4 #AK11 movie. Met many of them and we will release a video showcasing them soon.”...

Happy days are around the corner for the beleaguered star-son Sooraj Pancholi whose ambitions were thwarted in 2013 by the alleged suicide of his girlfriend Jiah Khan. After a troubled year which included a traumatic period of incarceration, it looks like a bright sunny 2014 for Sooraj. Not only has Salman Khan decided to open his own production house Salman Khan Productions with a remake of Subhash Ghai musical blockbuster Hero, the mega-star has also decided on date of release for Sooraj's debut. Says a source close to the project, "Hero will start shooting on 18th February. It will release on 12th December. Those are the dates Salman has locked in on." Nikhil Advani who has been selected by Salman to direct the Hero remake is working feverishly on the script. Says a source, "Nikhil has completely re-written Ghai's Hero. The plot is a different animal now. The characters are different.

Chennai, Feb 7: Filmmaker Sekhar Kammula says his plan to remake Telugu college drama "Happy Days" has been put on hold as he is too busy with the "Kahaani" remake to focus on any other project.
The superhit Hindi thriller "Kahaani", a woman's revenge story, is being remade in Tamil and Telugu and it is being co-produced by Endemol India, Logline Productions Pvt. Ltd and Select Media Holdings Pvt Ltd. It will go on the floors soon.
"At present I'm busy preparing myself for 'Kahaani' remake and that's keeping me extremely busy. The idea to remake 'Happy Days' is still on but it will take time because I have a bigger priority.
