Rubbish!
haroot_azarian17 July 2021
Please ignore all the good and semi-good reviews! They are totally misleading. It was a waste of time and crap! It was sort of a rip off of Alpha Alert (2013) starring Jennifer Morrison and Josh. Stewart, which was hell of a lot better movie than this crap. Tells you a lot when the only Trivia post says the director wore flip-flops during the entire shoot! Give this one a wide berth!

Crushingly, Mind-Numblingly BAD
jm-vincent20 November 2021
This flick (not to be confused with a "movie") is summarized in the heading to this review: Crushingly, mind-numbingly bad. The glowing cluster reviews all written in the month of July are a sure sign of those involved in the travesty trying with desperation to pump up the volume with lies about what a work of genius it is. Genius and this aren't even in the same country, much less the same zip code...they may not even be on the same continent (Or, less generously, on the same planet.) AVOID this if you're looking to be entertained by anything short of incompetence.

Don't listen to high reviews

This is shudderingly bad!! The acting is horrible, the plot and direction terribly handled. The only good thing was the idea for this story but even that not that great as it thinks it is. Nothing was a surprise by the end.

Please do yourself a favor and run away...fast!

Crazy and suspenseful movie
AListPR16 July 2021
I was like whoa wtf is going on with the babes honey? He was so up and down emotionally and very suspect like it was a set-up. You're never sure until the end whats what. So pay attention its very suspenseful with multiple stories going on at once. Don't vape you'll lose your place with the web of intrigue.

Flawed, but sort of entertaining, Abduction Thriller
stevesinger-200110 July 2021
"Mind Games" is an excessively talky thriller that is badly flawed but still pretty entertaining. The story involves Tara Mays (played by Jet Jandreau), an Army psychologist who, near her wedding day, gets abducted (by familiar genre actor Robert LaSardo) and is trapped in an RV in a field somewhere. During the film, we follow her attempts to try to escape using her skills.

On the plus side, Jet Jandreau is an appealing and engaging heroine, there are lots of layers to her character and she plays them all well. She carries the movie almost by herself -- she is in virtually every scene and manages to make us invest in the character. And because of her, we want to find out what happened and how this whole scenario plays out. And Robert LaSardo is never not creepy and menacing.

There are a bunch of negatives, though. As I mentioned, the movie is dialog heavy and I mean that. Loads and loads and LOADS of talking. Reams of exposition come from dialog, much of it just seemingly pulled out of thin air, entire backstories described by random characters in long speeches. Some of what we see doesn't even seem to have much bearing to the story, and at 1 hour and 40 minutes the movie overstays its welcome by a good 10-15 minutes so some editing might have helped. And the movie ends with a "twist" that just leaves up a boatload of unanswered questions and is pretty much impossible based on a lot of what we saw before, so much so that they have the characters try to explain it, and that requires them knowing things they couldn't possibly know.

And there is a technical glitch early on; during the first 15-20 minutes of the movie it appears that all the sound was overdubbed. There is an annoyingly loud score, and the voices are out of synch with the mouth movements juuuuuuuust barely, but enough to notice. This does get completely cleared up, so if you're tempted to shut it off during the beginning because of this, hold on, it gets better.

I have mixed feelings about recommending this movie. It's got enough issues to make it a frustrating watch, but overall I've gotta admit that even though several times I rolled my eyes hard enough to give myself a headache, I was pretty entertained throughout and never got bored. And I don't really ask for much more with low budget flicks, so it gets a lukewarm recommendation. Check it out.

Full Blown in your face mind boggling suspense

This film was quite good. It was quite fabulous. It definitely plays games with your mind but in a good way. The characters were very well written. The actress who played Tara gave an amazing performance. Definitely worth a watch!

Mind Games, was mind blowing game from the first frame!
Dude, that Robert LaSardo is one scary dude! Mind Games was intense, interesting and thought provoking about the rumors that what we've heard throughout the years about the CIA testing and programming Military personnel to be better warriors on the battle field, could be a reality. To be more focused and goal oriented. The performances were all really good. The leads were all very solid and the mystery of the puzzle pieces continued to keep me guessing. I liked the visual aspect of the project too. You felt like you were there experiencing all of the moments personally. I'm still thinking back at this moment about scenes and the way they manipulated the reality of continuity. Very well done. Mind blowing.

The Ending is a TOTAL surprise!
hugh-6598921 July 2021
The Jalbert Brothers are at it again and this time they mess with your mind! It is a psychological thriller that jerks you around for a while and then draws you in deeper and deeper. Robert LaSardo is weird, bad, mysterious and at times you like his character. The ending is a surprise that you will not see coming!

Worst movie I ever watched all the way through
repackrider6 December 2021
Long setup, and then a "twist" mailed in from Nepal.

"Here's my idea for a movie. A woman is kidnapped and locked in a remote location."

"Then what."

"That's it."

"Doesn't it need an ending?"

"Start shooting. I'll think of something."
