Season Five

Season Five is by far my favorite Corner Gas season thus far. Bar some silly character moments that were ill-advised, this was the most consistently funny and memorable Corner Gas season, and if season 6 continues in this quality they will thankfully go out on a very, very high note.

Season 5 had three classic episodes in it for me: "Dark Circles", "Classical Gas" (which thanks to a Comedy Network error we all got to see early during this original run, if you were lucky enough to tune into the episode), and especially "Contagious Fortune", which had me laughing harder than anything since probably "The World's Biggest Thing" or "An American in Saskatchewan".

Great stuff, when there's a Canadian show better than Corner Gas, the world will be a very different place. And no, Brent was wrong, Beachcombers just isn't the best Canadian TV show. If I needed convincing, and I didn't, season 5 has proved that Corner Gas is the champion for now, and probably for quite some time to come.

Season average based on all episodes: 8.20/10

Ranking up to season 5:

1. Season 5: 8.20/10

2. Season 3: 8.16/10

3. Season 2: 7.78/10

4. Season 4: 7.42/10

5. Season 1: 7.40/10
