Dylan, a woman in her early 30s, was diagnosed with Schizoaffective Disorder in college. Coming off medication without communicating with anyone, she spins into intense episodes that hurt those around her. She has to come clean not only about the medication, but the intricacies of her diagnosis that she has been keeping from others due to shame. She moves in and out of intense and uncontrollable symptoms from her continued episode.

In her recovery, she meets Michael, a handsome lawyer and a fellow recovering addict, and Mary, her sponsor, who show her that there is more to life than just numbing the pain.
