CSI Miami continues to get better and better
jakobgschwarz6 March 2009
I must admit, CSI Miami has never been my favorite of the CSIs. The original was always my favorite and after seeing CSI:NY for the first time, it quickly became second. However this season, things are becoming more complicated. CSIs NY and Miami are have their best seasons making favoritism between the shows more difficult. Miami is still the weakest of the three, but they are moving in a very good direction. Now the stunning visuals we have become accustomed to are starting to be accompanied with interesting stories and more complex characters. "Sink or Swim" continues in the line of really good episodes. All of the recent Miamis have been some of the best episodes of the show. This one continues the trend nicely. The show isn't perfect yet, there is still room for improvement, but this episode once again shows the potential this show could have.

"Diddy" Is Piddy-Ful
ccthemovieman-123 July 2011
Sean "P. Diddy" Combs is back once more which means the episode is not one of the best. He should forget about acting because he's clueless. Hopefully, this is the last us CSI-Miami fans will see of him. What's laughable is that he's playing the smartest defense attorney in Miami, and he sounds like a mentally-challenged person, to use the PC term.

The beginning of the episode is cool, though, especially when we learn later how a murder was executed. It's pretty clever.

A big part of this story, as it turns out, involves "Eric Delko" and his long-lost father, and the fact that the CSI investigator is on a "hit list." We also get the new love angle concerning Delko and "Calleigh Dusquense," which comes as kind of corny, considering they've been working together for years with no sparks flying until now?

Poorly researched...

Warning: Spoilers
So many things wrong with this plot. The bends, please, not life threatening from such a shallow depth. A diver experienced enough to operate a re-breather wouldn't have a problem with the net in that visibility, Much less coming up slowly enough to prevent the bends from less then an atmosphere down. Also, Cuba is on the list of countries we don't deport back to due to asylum laws. A Cuban birth certificate would make sure he'd stay. The issue would have been resolved when he became a police officer. I lived in Miami, we don't send people back there. One other thing, Special Operators can't fire an AK from under water, you have to raise it enough to drain the water from the barrel. Water doesn't compress...the results can be disastrous.
