When interrogating Joe Bosquay, Detective Vera says that the carpet fibers that came back from the lab were a match for "one of the options offered on a 1976 Chevy Van 20". However, the van that Joe drives is clearly a Ford Econoline.
This show looks back on a cold case from August 1978. At the beginning there's a shot of the roller rink, where "September" by Earth, Wind, & Fire is playing. This song didn't come out until November of 1978, and became a top ten hit in February 1979. Earth, Wind, & Fire's current hit at the time was "Got To Get You Into My Life". So either the DJ had a three month advance copy, or this was an error by the filmmakers.
