- During a Christmas party, Ben berates Lauren for dancing. His abusive tone is uncalled for & sets her off. She pushes & shoves him before storming out. Karl & Michael then accuse Ben of having inappropriate sexual relationships with the girls at the group home, start a physical confrontation with him & threaten to stab him.

- The film opens with the confrontation between Lucy & her father that begins with verbal abuse & ends in a physical beating.

- The tone of the entire film is extremely disturbing, upsetting, bleak & uncomfortable to watch, particularly the scenes that depict or allude to the girls at the orphanage being sexually abused.

- Lucy's parents are extremely unfit, neglectful & make it very apparent they want nothing to do with her, even in times when she is desperate for their love/affection, which is extremely heartbreaking.

- Although this film is tastefully done & the majority of the graphic scenes are implied or cut away from, this film may disturb people who are easily distraught by sensitive subject matter.
