Sex & Nudity

  • A knife is pointing and gesturing between the legs on a man in a cutscene, although with clothes on.
  • Mention to porn early in the game
  • At some point in the game you can see woman in bikinis on a beach.
  • A calendar with a woman in a suggestive pose.
  • Also a poster with a woman next to a car, in a suggestive pose. Random.
  • 20% of woman NPCs have tiny cleavage.
  • Some perverted refrences throughout the game.

Violence & Gore

  • The player has the option to kill animals and civilians though you encounter people rarely so it's not much of a big deal
  • A bit more violent than most Far Cry games. Whenever you do executions (if you're choosing stealth) are brutal and gory: there's a lot of blood and some of the moves are particularly brutal. Shootings are also quite bloody in and out of cutscenes.
  • In the beginning, many people are shot to death with a lot of blood and graphic wounds clearly seen.
  • A crocodile kills a soldier offscreen with a ton of blood spraying. It's then seen completely covered in blood and giving Dani the soldier's bloody, severed foot.

Profanity

  • Severe language in both English and Spanish, not suitable for younger children.
  • Language here and there but nothing anyone over 12 couldn't handle

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Drugs in this game occurs somewhat frequently, though is spoken about briefly each time
  • One character is a raging alcoholic.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Antón Castillo is a ruthless dictator and person so much to the point that he is willing to kill anyone that gets in the way of his plans including his own son, his personality is a combination of Vaas Montenegro and Joseph Seed, two notorious villains from previous Far Cry games.

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Sex & Nudity

  • Juan Cortez sometimes uses women in his humor, in an inappropriate way.
  • In one of the missions you'll come across a beach with dead bodies. All of them wear beachwear. So partial nudity.
  • Kiss between a male and a female character. Around 65% of the game.

Violence & Gore

  • Anton castillo kills his own son by a gun and shoots him in the chest. Not that graphic.
  • Near the beginning, a boat full of innocent people is ruthlessly gunned down with many people getting shot with a ton of blood spraying. Only the lead character survives and sees other corpses washed up on the beach with him, some showing signs of decay.
  • Maria is gunned down by Talia, players have little warning before this happens and the bloody aftermath is shown

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Main missions where you have to destroy tobacco fields.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The game starts with the protagonist sneaking and eventually running away from armed men which could be considered intense for a small percentage of players
  • In an event known as "The Vanishing" your beloved dog Chorizo is taken captive, in the end he ends up unharmed and any lasting effects from the event are yet to be seen.
  • The final battle is very intense, violent and bleak, with no true winner in the end as Anton and Diego die and the rest of the characters including Dani leave the place to rot.
  • Around the end of the game you find people who have been subjected to a dangerous chemical to which they would eventually die from, the protagonist is also exposed to this but survives, this reveal is very frightening but is seen at a distance so any wounds are hard to make out.
