This video version of "I've Seen That Face Before" is not the one directed by Jean-Paul Goude which featues Grace Jones perfoming a burlesque act while the camera slows
reveals the place she's at and the crowd behind her; this one she performs on a crowded bar where older men are drinking and watching her performance. It's a little
strange if compared to the artistic video but the song is so haunting, effective and powerful that we don't have the time to form an opinion and complain about. Hard to
figure out why a second clip had to be made for a television audience when the mysterious and artistic video was good enough to sell the song and the present the artist to
those unfamiliar with her. Still, gets a thumbs up from me. 9/10.
