What Cuban children meant for CIA
guisreis8 January 2021
Exclent Spanish and English spoken Brazilian documentary on hideous CIA operation of sending Cuban children to live in the United States after revolution. Dirty foreign policy was made, in alliance with far right Catholic church, with a lot of bizarre fake news propanda to convince parents to let there children to live with strangers and far from their families. Indeed, while some of the children eventually had a good life and could meet their parents just two years afterwards, the impact in the lives of most of them was quite different: many children were sent to orphanages, others suffered sexual and other harassments in the camps or inside the US family, most keep until nowadays serious psychological thraumas. Besides the good and varied interviews, the documentary is also very competent in providing useful information on political and historical background, and shows very beautiful footage.
