This could have been really good--instead it's just creepy

Warning: Spoilers
The basic idea behind this short film is very intriguing. It's a retelling of "Little Red Riding Hood" and instead of set in fairy tale days, it's set today. And, instead of a wolf, the character is a child molester. While this is unsavory, it does keep alive the spirit of the original story--the moral that you don't talk to strangers. However, the film makers made a serious mistake. In the version of the original tale most of us are familiar with, you have the child rescued at the last minute by the good woodsman. But here, there is no salvation and you see the child seduced with no intervention from the outside world. While the film isn't graphic, once the sex act apparently occurs, you see the child face down and alone in bed--and you're not even sure she's still alive. This just goes too far in my opinion--even though apparently in the original versions the child IS eaten. The sex offender idea isn't bad--but having the film ending on such a horrid note as the child being raped isn't my idea of entertainment! It's a shame, as this could have been really good--not just really creepy and gross.

Just saw Grandma's House. It was engaging and suspenseful.

Very authentic! This film is everything that most have desired but have longed missed the mark. I found the production value to be consistent throughout the entire stretch of film, including the choice of locations and the environment. Everything seemed simply authentic and seamless. Emotions were incredibly genuine, I loved the girls performance and the close ups were right on the money, of course the same should be same for the bad guy, who brings a sense of harm but not forced or overacted, I thought he kept it subtle, which only adds to his creepiness. To sum it up this piece brings the theatrical experience often missing from short films. Very delightful. CAST WAS PERFECT! Please do more!

Incredibly emotional and detailed piece of art.

This is the first indie that I watched on IMDb and right from the start I am amazed how the author put me in the Little Girl's shoes as she entered a new stage in her life in this incredibly emotional and detailed piece of art.

Great work, people :) I think I'm going to check back every now and then on the indie section...

P.S.: The weird thing is that even for these shorties a minimum of 10 lines is required in order to comment. Seriously, how can one expect any non-spoilers, if at all any comments here?

How Now Brown Cow. *Ahem*
