This show was not nearly as bad as people are making it out to be. It wasn't the greatest show of all time but it's 6 episodes with kind of a fun concept and its just good reality tv. There's some participants you love and some you hate, but that's kind of the point right? Some of the people are trying too hard to get noticed and make it big, and the rules are a little sketchy but it's a fun, quick watch.

another show ruined by producers

A bridge to nowhere

After the unmitigated disaster of Eden (2016), Channel 4's last great wilderness-challenge-slash-social-experiment-slash-reality-show, I suppose we ought to have known that merely adding a grab-the-cash element would only make The Bridge worse rather than better. And it didn't disappoint in that regard.
The Bridge was yet another dollop of dull, dishonest, unutterably futile rubbish - quintessential Channel 4 viewing, in fact.
could have been fun but ruined by reality tv nonsense

Warning: Spoilers
A team of random people get put together and have to build a bridge across a lake to reach a price, simple and entertaining premise. but instead of just letting it play out they bring in people later and people get sent home and basically completely ruin any group coherence or loyalty any contestant could have. all the reality tv tropes they push in here hurt the show so much. also completely nonsense why only one would get the money when they all worked on it.
A shame really.

Just like a couple of others I've seen posted here this could have been a great show. When you try to Americanise an English show, or Anglicize an American show (I'm still not sure which one was done here, lolz) it very very rarely, if ever, works.
Series 1
The fact that the "Floaters' they use are in fact modular pontoons and could of got them if not all of the way there then at least a good portion, over half to three quarters of the way, without ever having touched a piece of wood, frankly makes the entire show pretty pointless.
The one saving factor that kept me watching with some interest was when they introduced the way way over the top American woman. I was just waiting for anyone of the English "contestants" to fly off the handle and wade into her. I couldn't help but liken it to a lamb that had somehow wandered into a lions den at which the lions expressed confusion and were somewhat taken aback more than the flesh rending savagery most commonly expected.
If your into incredibly lame shows that require zero neurons firing and a complete suspension of logic then this is the show for you.
Otherwise.... give it a hard pass.
Series 2
Hhmm, well, at time the of writing this it was not yet fully out. Though I'm frankly not surprised that a series 2 was green lit. Par for the course these fine bright days.
