In the monologue, Red displays how various customers eat at a restaurant. In the main skit, Bolivar, a disgruntled hash house cook, yearns to be a famous song writer. His girlfriend, a waitress and aspiring singer, tries to help Bolivar's career by performing one of Bolivar's compositions for an unscrupulous song publisher. The couple realizes that their song was stolen when they hear it played on Peter Potter's TV show "Juke Box Jury" They appeal to the program's judges to have the song declared a Bolivar property. Composers Jimmy McHugh, Ned Washington, David Rose and Dimitri Tiomkin appear as "Juke Box Jury" judges.
