Not Bad

A decent episode overall, with an interesting take on the topic of art. I just can't help but be massively distracted every time Carl speaks. Couldn't they have gotten someone who at least sounds kind of like the original voice?

Meh. All those 3 episodes so far going in straight line, very average, nothing memorable and kind of mediocre. This season doesn't give me any good vibe so far which is very sad.

Good episode

This episode was not great, but it was pretty good. A nice storyline and good pacing of the story. Some good jokes especially the Bernie Sanders joke. I think that it was clever too. Not the best of the season, but still a pretty good episode!

Bad.

After a great episode last week from Selman, Al Jean returns to the helm for an anthology with predictably disappointing results. The whole episode is a complete drag and the pacing was horrid. The segments all lacked a decisive beginning, middle, and end. The direction was fantastic and there were a few good jokes, but nothing that could save the episode.

Don't bother

Tedious and boring. To go into the story would be a waste of your time, take it from me it's not worth watching.

It is briliant and beautiful

What are you guys talking about? Why so angry? Episode about three different artists, with art beautifully embedded into animation, interesting stories with great historical references, all connected to modern days and with classical Simpsons subliminal message.

After two drowsy episodes, this one killed it.

Mediocre Episode

Well, another Simpson tall tale episode. Quick question, who wanted this? The story's can get a little creative but most of the time there are pretty bland and stale. The animation is fine, also a little creative with different character designs, but the characters aren't that good either. The characters are just dull and nothing new is introduced. I do not recommend this episode.

Another historical episode
burteriksson14 June 2021
The previous one ("I, Carumbus") took place in ancient Rome. It was not a good episode. Almost impossible to watch through even once. Two historical episodes in a row seems just too much. And the next one from this very episode will be another Halloween special. Just for "heads up", if you're not a big fan of them.

Bumblebee Man is voiced by some guy called Eric Lopez. And yet Luigi Risotto and Legs & Louie are voiced by non-Italian actors. They should revisit all the old episodes and not to mention that movie with the Inuit woman who was voiced by Tress MacNeille - who is NOT an eskimo.

They should stop showing the old episodes completely before the changes are made. Everyone who has DVDs, VHS tapes or C-cassettes should send them back to Fox so they can alter the recordings or replace them with brand-new ones. All this should happen fully at the expense of Fox.

Someone expected this to be historically accurate?? Lol

Keep The Simpsons going for another 30+ seasons. This show has gotten better than some of the previous seasons. Dont let armchair critics talk you into hating this show. Not every episode can be exciting, so stop expecting an unreasonable excitement high, like some kind of addict. Have realistic expectations.

I will be honest: I am more critical of modern Simpsons than most. I am even of the belief that currently on the Animation Domination block, FG is the only one saving it from being completely a borefest. This isn't to say modern FG is good but it is to say that FG seems to break away from the traditional animated American sitcom format and introduce something new of the night. Sometimes those storylines don't land and sometimes we get a surprisingly decent episode from them -- I digress. This episode of the Simpsons is simply a borefest. I wasn't fascinated. We had a history-interpretation episode last week so we get one the next week after. There's even a cutaway gag with baby Bernie Sanders (which feels off since it's October 2020) and a cheap shoehorned reference of Rick and Morty. I think that Homer had some funny lines in the episode but thats about it. As another reviewer said, it lacked a decisive beginning, middle, and end. Though while some of the back-and-forth banter in modern Simpsons can sometimes be witty if all else fails, none of it is neccessarily clever. Classic Simpsons threw several clever quips at the viewer constantly. I know we're 30 seasons in and I'm not missing the golden days (well, I am but I know that things change and shows decline in quality). But I think that means that it may be time to end the show.

They can't even get basic history correct
Haggy2722 October 2020
If you were to sit down and watch this episode without seeing any other Simpson episodes, you would assume the show was written by Middle School dropouts who never attended a history class; but you can tell that's not the truth because Middle School dropouts have a sense of humor.

It was a really nice episode with historic connotations.

Giving it a 10 to balance the bad reviews, will give an 8 overall. Was funny at times and with interesting and quite historically accurate in several areas.

By the numbers perhaps

Warning: Spoilers
Okay, I must admit that watching the more recent episodes of The Simpson is like watching an aging quarterback attempting to replicate his high school glory days, because I think (yes I know others may disagree) that the first ten seasons are the glory years, with some later episodes being honorary entries in the glory years.

Now Museum, Now You Don't is kind of like a by-the-numbers episode that is there for the purpose of keeping the Simpsons alive and going on and on for the network executives and their financial coffers. There were some glory moments but I guess it's the current generation that will enjoy this episode.
