Lucifer is... a father?
jpnhjdqp10 September 2021
Warning: Spoilers
What a great episode. I enjoyed this episode in particular because from what we've seen from the show, this is exactly how I would've imagined Lucifer reacting if he found out he had a daughter.

So many of Lucifer's struggles stemmed from his issues with his father. Which is why Lucifer immediately goes into denial after looking his daughter in the eyes, because if she truly is his daughter, then he knows exactly the pain she's felt throughout her life, as well as exactly how she's feeling now that she has reconnected with her father, because this is exactly what Lucifer went through last season.

However, the detective in him takes him across the country looking for the possible mother, desperately hoping that he doesn't have a daughter. Not because he doesn't want to deal with that responsibility, but because he doesn't want to have caused her pain by not being there.

And the moment that he truly realizes and accepts that she is her daughter is really beautifully done. Bravo to the writers!

Also, Dan had some great and funny moments this episode, and I wonder how his storyline will play out in the end.

Also, that twist in the end... wow!

A sense of relief

The last few episodes have been very average. With this being the final ever season, I was wanting more. This is a LOT more like it! Love it!

Interesting episode...fun

Fun episode with some twists. I do find it funny (without adding spoilers) that when visiting four different cities during his search that Lucifer goes to Miami, Seattle, Boston and New Mexico. What...does New Mexico not have a city name, he just visits the whole state? Sorry, from New Mexico, so couldn't pass that up.

Tired of upset Chloe

They just won't give up on the "Chloe doesn't trust Lucifer" trope. This is something that they should of given up by now. It is unnecessary drama in what should be a final season to wrap everything up. Love the show but so tired of this in any show.

Genuinely a rollercoaster from start to finish, but in the best way possible. Great character work & development.

Best episode of the season so far.

Warning: Spoilers
This episode felt a bit more like the old Lucifer. Massive plots holes, yes but not bad at all. Lucifer and Chloe working together to solve a puzzle and find a missing girl felt like old times. Quite nice to watch an episode without being preached to too much!

Hate what they've done to Chloe!
trident-3907924 September 2023
She went from being this complete badass, capable of dealing with anything, including her BF being the devil, and now she's a neurotic mess, weak, no confidence at all.

This show has done some really stupid stuff - the dancing, music, animation, like the writers have multiple personalities, but that they destroyed Chloe, had her revert to the most needy person ever scripted, just shows they should've ended the show with season 5.

Eye roll
shipwreckjack13 September 2021
It's a silly, weak season, full of campy elements and 'deep' concepts that only go skin deep. The plots are supposed to be provocative or whatever but they're remarkably not well thought out. Unless you're an utter fanboy/fangirl, you're going to do a lot of internal groaning.

It seems likePost Production even gave up on the Show!

I read all the reviews, and I have to wonder why no one mentioned the obvious VFX issue! How did this episode air with that glaring error!

When Dan is leaving Lucifer's apt., he is yelling at Maze, because he thinks she can't hear of see him. When Dan walks to the elevator, you briefly see a duplicate image of a portion of Dan's hair and the elevator frame cuts into Dan's body, because this portion is a key, so it appears that Dan passes through the elevator door.. This is a tell - tell sign of an extremely bad key. How no one saw this in post, is beyond me. Like so many shows that have finished, this one is another example of everyone just giving up. This series finale should have been epic, instead it was boring, confusing, and in most cases pointless, did we really need Adam or Rory for that matter ?
