High production value of a terrible show

Not worth the watch. Long and pointless plots that resolve nothing.

The trapped mother story line is exhausting to watch and that is half the show, it's so frustrating to watch someone talk to a robot about escape every other scene of every episode, and literally nothing ever happens.... Why they decided to make this part of the show is beyond me.

The show is more for 12-year-old boys, which makes it weird that it says it is made for mature audience. Episodes like "Dude kinda looks like a lady" and the episode where they had to jerk off to save the day, and u got an episode about interns being slaves.

The good thing about the show that the characters aren't one dimensional, they are flat but whatever. I also liked "Flowers for Chudley" episode.

A Poor Imitation

Warning: Spoilers
Practically every aspect of the show is stolen from Rick & Morty (R&M)... Poorly! No serious plot or character development to speak of. The "humor" is juvenile at best, and trite. The voice acting is actually good, but it can't redeem it. I'd enjoy it if I were a teenager, maybe.

Multi-headed and multi-limbed abomination? R&M did it. Hybrid creatures? You see where this is going. Even the Mad Max theme/feel is a straight rip off. The theme song is vaguely reminiscent of R&M too.

Ok maybe I'm being too harsh. In total fairness, the 'Amazonian Women' tribe is stolen from Futurama.

Why did I watch it and bother writing the review, you might wonder? Couldn't look away from this trainwreck and really annoyed me that work like this gets a whole season!

Really enjoyed this

It's too bad it only got on season. I like the art style of the cartoon, the characters are all weird in their specific ways and the episodes were entertaining with nothing feeling overdone.

I also really appreciate the setting of a desert apocalypse but one ding I'll give is the story with the mother of two main characters being trapped in a bunker. Her character is like a diet Sarah Connor that's gone flat and warm. I can see what they were going for with the bunker's AI and trying to keep DSC locked in for "her safety" but the interactions were more annoying than funny. The rest of the toon has enough weirdness and quirkiness that I would really like more seasons.
