Driving to develop animated features and series that reach out to more sophisticated global families and 18-34 young adults after the milestone success of the Academy Award-nominated “I Lost My Body,” Marc du Pontavice’s French animation studio Xilam Animation has tapped ‘Dustbin Baby’ and ‘’Hetty Feather’ screenwriter Helen Blakeman to write “Lucy Lost.”
In the run-up to this year’s online Annecy Festival and Mifa market, Du Pontavice also teased further “The Wolf,” the next feature film at Xilam, to be directed by Julien Bisaro, nominated for an Annie for his storyboard artist work on “I Lost My Body,” whose half hour “Shooom’s Odyssey” is one of Annecy’s buzziest titles in its TV Film section.

Award-winning production company Kindle Entertainment are set to bring Enid Blyton's classic childrens book series, The Famous Five, back to our TV screens.
Kindle, the production company behind Leonardo, Some Dogs Bite and Dustbin Baby, will co-produce a new TV series based on the books, with Hachette Books who have acquired the rights to the Enid Blyton literary estate (excluding Noddy).
The reimagining of Blyton’s much loved children’s stories, in which four young children and their dog have adventures while on school holidays, is planned as a family series, rather than a kids-only show, with Kindle targeting the early Saturday primetime slots filled by the likes of Doctor Who and Merlin.
The pilot follows tomboy George, now a modern girl, tand her dog Timmy, being transported back in time to Kirrin Bay in 1954 where she meets the rest of the gang. Through each episode George will gradually...

The Sarah Jane Adventures missed out again as Tracy Beaker Returns won the the award for best Drama at the British Academy Children's Awards 2010 ceremony at last night.
Dani Harmer and Richard Wisker, who were both nominated in the Performer category were there to help pick up the award.
Other winners included Kindle Entertainment, makers of Dustbin Baby, Jinx and Some Dogs Bite with the Independent Production Company BAFTA, Up won the Feature Film BAFTA beating Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang amongst others.
The Sarah Jane Adventures, Dani's House and Tracy Beaker Returns were all beaten in the Kid's Vote TV award which went to long-running Disney Channel favourite the Wizards of Waverley Place.
