Carmilla Hyde, a Jekyll and Hyde revenge thriller, took out the award for Best Feature at the South Australian Screen Awards on March 4. Hosted by Sydney comedian and actor George Kapiniaris and opened by Sa's federal minister, the Hon. Kate Ellis, the Sa Screen Awards is Adelaide's favourite annual screen industry party, attracting the who's who of the local filmmaking community. The four finalists for Best Feature (made with at least two key creative roles filled by South Australians) were Adelaide, Counterpart, Hollywood Librarian and Carmilla Hyde. This win for Carmilla Hyde backs up the two awards it collected at last year's Melbourne Underground Film Festival for ‘Best Guerrilla Film' and ‘Best Supporting Actress' for Georgii Speakman.
