This is getting ridiculous
ogntorius121 November 2020
Red is still that dude and the only reason I'm willingly abusing myself with a series that has been devolving since this "mystery" has been made the primary focus of the show and has dragged on for years. I never cared for Elizabeth, but there was a time when she didn't grate on my nerves. She's become an insufferable, self righteous flake and she makes a show I once LOVED, hard to watch. Am I the only one that's relieved this is almost over?

It's only getting an 8 for red!

Warning: Spoilers
Just get rid of Liz already! She's seriously the worst actor I've ever witnessed, her crying scenes are embarrassing to watch just cringe worthy. She is so self absorbed it's unbelievable and she's been out to get Red for a while, after everything that man has done for her, risked his life for her, saved hers sooo many times and this is how she repays him. Her and her answers, she needs answers, she deserves answers, give me answers omg it's just painful. I don't blame her alone though the director should of got shot of her seasons ago even before the husband was killed off she's worse. Ive tortured and punished myself watching it just for Red & OMG it was sooooo satisfying watching her mother die and liz's reaction was just gold I mean Terrible acting once again, not a tear from her eye but just felt even her not getting her own way after how much she's punished us by watching her. Just awful.

A strange theory

Warning: Spoilers
Why do I have a feeling that Katarina death is staged and that Red didn't kill her? I have this stupid idea of those two, Red and Katarina, working together against the Americans, the Russians, the Kabbal and the whole world to sort this thing out but then the directors said it's "conclusion" so maybe I'm wrong

Warning: Spoilers
This is a ten, if the ending of this isn't another "fake". Now I'm hoping that the daughter meets the same ending. Will only continue to watch to see how it plays out. Regardless, Ressler and Keen blaming Redington for all that's happened is totally a reflection of the millennial writers who think they deserve everything and control the world. Nope. You don't.

SPOILERS - TWO PEOPLE DIE
nickzapapp22 November 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This show has gone on for too long, I enjoy it but the longer it goes on, generally the worse it gets, nonetheless this was actually a pretty good episode, and this storyline has been interesting.

Although I feel more questions are being introduced (ie all these N13 elements and townsend) than questions are being answered and forgoten about (ie, did Kat find out about Berdy being killed? Is Red Seaduke?, who is Red? Alexander Kirk connection with Kat, What did Red whisper to Kirk?) this episode had answers, it was just one simple one... Red is N13 and so is Katarina...? A russian mole who stole intel packets in Moscow, near the end of the KGB's era.

I know that there are some Katarina Rostova bashes out there, but I didn't mind her storyline. No one can disagree that this woman has had it bloody tough, she was on the run by herself half of this episode, dodging the feds, dodging Chuck/Morgan, first hand. Last season Russians tried to abduct her at a park, years ago she was set up, and nearly exploded to death... However it is time to end her character, I think Red taking an action like this was quite interesting...

Liz was a little annoying throughout this episode, her lines made her sound a little dumb or uneducated, this makes it worse as she is an FBI agent. I hope to find out some more questions about Red's identity and connection to Liz soon.

I thank the actor coming in and covering for the late Brian, although it is sad to no longer see Brian, I think the new actor did an amazing job under the circumstances, I found the call backs to the old katarina rather intriguing in this ep, it was well done, as was the music and composition of the ending showdown.

Aram, Park and Harold didn't have much to do this ep especially the priors, episodes like this kind of make me feel that they just shouldn't be included, no point just adding them in for a couple pointless scenes, when their characters are worth more detail, respect and attention.

Overall, decent action, great storytelling and scenes (two deaths of Kat and Dom were done well), gamechanging twists... 9/10

Put Liz and viewers out of their misery
aleeward22 November 2020
Supposedly all these former spies (Red, Dom and Katarina) are keeping secrets from Liz to protect her and because they care, but they are slowly dying one by one and hugely frustrating us in the process.

Whatever the secret is, it is not going to be big enough to justify these forever infuriating episodes. Even the task force has now become embroiled in a show that seems to be about how more annoying can Liz be before she or Dembe inevitably kill Reddington.

The elaborate plots that made this show great, have been taken over by the writers dangling a carrot of secrecy in order to keep us watching.

This carrot better taste good.

I love this show!
sscialli21 November 2020
The action and suspense is so sharp even the extras do their jobs so well. It is always making me think "how?" and even the production is so slick. Very rarely does a show compliment itself as a whole, this does.

Finally
agustos-6061521 November 2020
Warning: Spoilers
As i said in the kazanjian brothers episode i didnt care the truth anymore because its obvious it will be something stupid and if it won't, then i will admit that i am wrong

but God it was so satisfying wathcing her death finally, and the reaction in the liz's face it was... it was... if am to put the words it was delightful

I did not taking pleasure watching this show for quite some time but this episode felt better.

As we all know Reddington gonna die somewhere from his medical condition or by liz's hands, does not matter. He is going to die. I choose Liz going to kill him because i didn't like the story "Hey Liz you gotta choose between us, me or Reddington" that's better and am so tired of Liz, she is so childish "Hey plz don't kill my mother because i love him No! No! it doesn't matter he is a killer and tortured you and shot my grandfather and then abduct him and killed him, she is kinda cute i love her she is my mother" anyway Liz kills Reddington and somehow learn the truth, would be a good ending, or Reddington kills Liz not willingly (i know he could not but it is a possibility) and regrets when he's done. I think like that because i don't think they can turn the story a good direction

Let us be honest, we all lost our patience and we are just watching for James Spader acting

Warning: Spoilers
Fellow blacklisters,

The truth is that we have few answers so far. Ok, Red is N13 that want almost every agency in the world.

But, can someone please tell me or perhaps figured out, why on earth Dom tried to protect Red hide this secret and preferred to sacrifice Katarina? His own daughter?

Does this make any sense at all...?

Of course this adds up to another ananswered questions of the show, such as what Red whispered at Alexander's Kirk ear and managed to survive, as a fellow blacklister mentioned in another post.

I would exteremely appreciate your thoughts about my quest above.

Why Dom sacrificed his daughter over someone (Red) that we still don't know his relationship to Dom. A relationshsip at least that could justify Dom protecting Red and killing his own daughter...

Respectfully, John Abruzzi Kaiafas

Enough is enough
kingsx_647 December 2020
We, the loyal viewer have been waiting patiently for years now for answers that the writers flat out refuse to give us. This story line has gone on waaaay to long. And the only reason we keep watching? Because Spader is brilliant as Red. We have had to suffer through endless hours with this hypocritical moron Liz, and her mind numbing thought process, that leaves us dumb stuck and speechless,, episode after episode. She just might be the single worst 'lead' character in television history. And yet we do. sigh.... And STILL they won't tell us wtf is going on? But at least they added humor to this episode when Liz took out Dembe. LOL That was funny. Yea right. smh As others have said, I at this point have no choice but to continue watching in hope of some answers.....Sooner rather then later, Cause as we all know,, Enough is enough already

But she's an FBI agent, right?
rugle128 November 2020
The writers have taken the Elizabeth Keen character to a place where I don't know how she can continue on; in the capacity of law enforcer. She has, all in the endeavor to "get answers to her questions, committed kidnapping, harbored a wanted fugitive and lied and used her fellow FBI agents. The only thing I see for her now should be prison. There is no way she can go back, to being an agent. If the writers move in that direction, the show will continue to be a joke. As is pretty obvious, in the majority of the reviews, here, the Keen character is not at all liked. Knowing this maybe it might be best, for the show, if her character is just written out before she has a detrimental effect on the entire show and you lose your audience.

This is a beast episode!
dattaakash-370556 August 2021
The first time Reddington did something while Liz and everyone told him not to. Just insane to see him change his personality. He didn't scratch Tom cz Liz never wanted to. And yet, for some terrifying secret. But i don't see any reason for him to leave her alone. She is definitely gonna take her revenge. I don't know who is gonna win, cz Keen is justice, and we viewer want reddington to win. High unlikely keen wins, but it's gonna be a relief that the stupidness is gonna stop. But another thing, i don't see how Reddington keeps his relation with the task force. And again, after almost 150+ episodes, we still don't know who he is other than some pieces of info. It's a milestone to show how a good secret is made. I wish they take the same effort to reveal it. Cz a sudden revelation would be heart breaking and as the characters, we viewers would have no idea either to believe it or just think it as another ghost story. But it really was an marvelous ending for number 3 in the blacklist.

Red shot down Katarina, Liz sees it. Katarina died instantly. Nice Episode of The Blacklist Season 8, the moment we have been waiting for. Red killed Katarina in front of Liz her eyes. One More to Go...
tprindy-9374324 November 2020
Warning: Spoilers
3 Rostovas down, one more to go.

Mama, Papa (Dom), and daughter (Katarina) Rostova are gone. Only one left is granddaughter (Liz).

The show hits "ludicrous speed" when Liz tells Red she's coming after him. Pretty sure Red, or N-13, or whoever he is, had a good chuckle over that one.

Changed from 4-star to 6-star because Katarina is finally gone. I guess she should have stayed in hiding.

Throw Momma From the Train
Hitchcoc7 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I'm afraid the title sort of gave away the ending of this. It did come as a bit of a shock, but then it brought relief. I mean, she could walk away and make the plot continue as is for another eighteen weeks. By the way, Elizabeth getting rid of Dembe was ridiculous. He is a tank with incredible defensive skills. Of course, she had him because he isn't going to shoot her in the head. So off she goes in the car. I agree with those who can't believe how intractable she is. She never listens to anyone. Red tries over and over to explain things to her and her mouth goes on and on. Answer my question! Tell me the truth! But she doesn't care to hear an answer. That said, I agree with a previous reviewer who says no matter what the secret is, it is not going to be adequate. Interesting to see the next episode.

Needs a turn over
abdullahkfupm23 November 2020
I don't know what would happen in the next episodes, but based on the first two which led me to partially lose my interest, I believe that season 7 and 8 should've been combined into one much more interesting season rather than two mediocre ones. Because what I expect to come is nothing more than "You ruined my life", "Because of your endless questions", "Which you should've answered", "It's for your own good, Liz" etc... Still, I have some hope that what's coming would change the course of action.

Another pointless episode of knowing nothing more, but somehow good end for Red
ahmadjor21 November 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I consider myself to be reasonably intelligent, but this show confuses me to no end and leaves me with more questions with every episode. I've lost my patience with trying to figure out what's going on. I can't stand Liz any more. She turns on Red at any time. She betrays him and the FBI for this woman who just came into her life and claims to be her mother. She turned her sick, elderly grandfather over to this woman but, oh yes, she made her promise not to hurt him. Right, the same woman who kidnapped and tortured Red and who kills people I'm just sick of Elizabeth's lousy acting skills and turncoat ways. The series was so much better when she was dead..

Sorry, James Spader is a fantastic actor and he done agreat in this episode as will All episode and we watch more because of him , the but Megan Boone can't hold her own against him.

Another one where Liz cries a lot
dataprocessing22 November 2021
This episode is full of tears, only from Elizabeth, just like ever other episode. Red saved this one with superb acting and a few action scenes that were greatly made, as it's the usual with this show.

The end did surprise me, but it was dragged too long by us having to watch Elizabeth cry her eyes out every 3 minutes... pretty sick of that character already.

Maybe we should spin-off this show into "The Redlist", in a post-Elizabeth world, where we get all of Redingtons witty conversations, the action packed scenes, and none of the whining and looking for answers.

It's the Money Honey
GoldenGooner0416 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This is the 2nd time I have watched this series, the 1st time I watched this episode I was as Mad as a Hatter. Can understand the anger from people as I felt the same.

U create a TV series which for 3 seasons is a Massive Massive hit, the actors are making loads of dosh, (average actors who have not done much) and James Spader known for working with Bill Shatner on the Brilliant Boston Legal but before that?

So what do we do? The whole series is built around Red and Liz, it's the heart of the series, people don't like it but it's true.

So we build on that, we start to try to confuse the public like with Lost, I mean we were totally Lost So season 5 we bring in the Bones, Them Bones, Them Bones, kill off Hubby and bring a "Sister" in who was the biggest flop going Season 6 we leave the heart for a bit and go for the Pres of the US Season 7 we are back to the Heart and the fake killing, Mummy dearest plays a big part in this season Season 8 now they are desperate after Covid the actors need this badly so what can we do, well Liz is hated by the public, so that's turn her into a real badass, then the public will watch even more hoping she gets killed. So Liz watches Mummy Dearest die (or is that her mother) ? Then turns into Mrs Bond. Problem is to carry that role you need to be able to act, and she can't So Season 9 yes folks they manage to get season 9 how will this work Liz killed off, as as Meghan actually believes she is a good actor, the problem is without Liz the series is dead, what about the unanswered questions is Red Liz's mum?

So yet again we have a drip drip feed of Liz even a new scene, we get more bits of the "truth" maybe And shock horror Season 10 gets green-lighted, don't be surprised to see Liz back, she will come out the shower and it will all have been a dream, Seasons 7.8.9 never happened and Red is Daddy Dearest.

So bad without Spader would be painful to watch, literally torture
uberviking22 November 2020
Elizabeth is so stunningly stupid and the logic her and Donald use to draw conclusions so twisted I can't even address it in words. Vomit inducing truly. Yet James Spader and Dembe hold the show together.
