The Merv Griffin Show
Margaret Hamilton played the Wicked Witch of the West who terrorized Judy Garland as Dorothy thirty years earlier in The Wizard of Oz (1939).
Merv Griffin said that the videotape of this show no longer exists. All that are known to survive are an audiotape, some color stills, and some silent color clips filmed from a TV during the broadcast.
Guest Rex Reed praised Garland and criticized the Oscars for not giving her the Academy Award for A Star Is Born (1954). (The award that year went to Grace Kelly.) Garland's response to Rex Reed was: "Let the Princess keep it".
Judy Garland and Arthur Treacher sang "If You Were the Only Girl in the World". Garland soloed on "Just in Time".
This was Judy Garland's last TV appearance in the USA. She would soon move to London, where she passed away on June 22, 1969.
