Batter up! What better activity for Alex Rodriguez's kids than an afternoon baseball game? That was exactly what was on Jennifer Lopez's schedule Saturday when she headed to Citi Field with her 9-year-old twins, Max and Emme, and her beau's daughters, Natasha and Ella. The triple threat dubbed the occasion "family day" as she videotaped the gathering and shared it on social media. "So, here we are at Citi Field. We're having a family day with all the kiddies and grandma," Lopez said in a video posted to her Instagram story. Of course, Lopez's mom, Guadalupe Rodríguez, was along for the family outing. Meanwhile, J.Lo's famous...

Previously in Part 1: "Dollies" who could also play ball were recruited to save America's Favorite Pastime while the men were at war. But these athletic women didn't realize that they'd still be met with such sexism despite the chance to show their gifts. The final piece of this movie's puzzle was the manager and the job was offered to Jimmy Dugan (Tom Hanks) and that's where we pick back up. How will the Rockford Peaches handle their new arrogant alcoholic boss?

25th Anniversary Four-Part Mini Series Event
Welcome sports movie fans. Or, in a pinch, actressexuals who will watch largely female casts do practically anything.
Twenty-five years ago on July 1st, 1992, Penny Marshall's period comedy A League of Their Own (1992) opened in theaters. It wasn't quite an immediate blockbuster but word of mouth was spectacular -- in its second weekend it grossed practically as much as its first, which as you know is exceedingly rare. The female led comedy proved another home run for the director of Big, eventually grossing over $100 million domestically. It ended 1992 as that year's tenth biggest hit, just behind Basic Instinct and shutting Clint Eastwood's Unforgiven out of the moneyed top ten.
For the next few days we'll be revisiting this beloved classic tag-team style like we did with Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf (1966), Thelma & Louise (1991), Rebecca (1940), and The Silence of the Lambs (1991). Please join...

Batter up! As Kim Kardashian is looking through a memory box full of family photos and keepsakes from her childhood, she discovers a throwback photo of little Khloe Kardashian on the softball team in this hilarious clip from Sunday's episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. A young Khloe is decked out in full uniform and flashing a huge smile in the pic as she poses at home plate with a bat and prepares to take a swing. Three guesses what the major talking point of Episode 15 is?
Yes, Daryl’s hell-bent revenge mission to hunt down Dwight has seemingly backfired in spectacular fashion, with the fan-favourite appearing to be gunned down in the very last shot – but surely that isn’t the end for him?
Daryl has been a great character for a long time, and his death would spark hysteria, but that end scene may be the best thing that’s ever happened to him. Daryl’s eventual death scene will be a grand event, marked with a stunning emotional climax, and that wasn’t one. After all, Tyreese had an entire episode dedicated to his elongated ‘goodbye’ meaning Daryl will surely get more than a last-ditch, open-ended demise. In the unlikely event we really have just seen Daryl Dixon die, it’s a mega-brave move by the show but not all fans will buy into that.

Athletes are like modern-day Greek gods, aren’t they? They’re bodies are flawlessly sculpted and yoked, they inspire slavish hero worship, and more often than not, they’re beautiful (were Greek gods rich? Because they’re that, too). It’s no wonder that the biggest sports stars attract some of the sexiest, most sought-after celebs in Hollywood. Yesterday, the folks at the Gossip Table had some fun picking out their favorite celeb-athlete couples, from Carrie Underwood and Mike Comrie to Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade. Now we’re taking a look at the ladies who aren’t necessarily coupled up with just one sports god — but let’s just say they have a type.
View Photo Gallery
This is an interesting phenomenon. One might say these ladies are addicted to dating athletes. Take Paris Hilton, for example. She’s hooked up with seven jocks (that we know of), a couple from each pro sport.

The Heat director Paul Feig will produce the animated film Peanuts for 20th Century Fox.
The movie will be based on the famous comic strip characters from creator Charles Schulz.
Fox has plans to release the Peanuts film on November 6, 2015, Deadline reports.
The project, to be directed by Steve Martino (Dr. Seuss' Horton Hears A Who!), marks the first animation feature for Feig.
"Charles Schulz's characters influenced everything in my career, especially Freaks And Geeks. I'm thrilled I finally get to be pals with Charlie Brown and Snoopy," Feig said.
The Peanuts script was written by Craig Schulz, Bryan Schulz and Cornelius Uliano. The trio are also slated to produce.
Feig is currently working on the Fox film Susan Cooper, a spy comedy that stars Melissa McCarthy (Mike & Molly) and a rumoured Jason Statham (The Transporter).

Batter up! "42" actor Chadwick Boseman, who portrayed Jackie Robinson in the 2013 biopic, has been selected to stand front and center in another biopic. This time, though, the only pinstripes he'll be wearing are on a suit, not a uniform: Boseman will portray legendary musician James Brown.
According to Variety, Universal gave the greenlight today for Boseman to play the godfather of soul in the as-yet-untitled flick. Tate Taylor, best known for directing "The Help," will helm. Filming will take place largely in Mississippi.
Brown died at 73 years old in December 2006. Brian Grazer, a producer of the film, has been trying to make a biopic for more than a decade.
The move from baseballer to R&Ber should be an interesting one for 31-year-old Boseman, whose performance in "42" was met with a resounding neutral shrug. The film itself was recognized for its earnestness but noted for its bland, narrow focus on...

We need to get something straight here. Nobody likes to see a dog killed on television and nobody likes to see a boy who loves his dog killed on television. Especially a virgin! That's exactly what we witnessed on "Unleashed" and it did not make me happy.
We still don't know a damn thing about what's going on with the killings in town other than they are druid-related and Mr. Harris was helping the murderers, but we learned a bit about Deucalion. He's a turd.
I'm sorry, I wish I was more invested in the Alpha storyline, but I'm not. At all. They are boring as all get out. I actually laughed out loud when Duke (hey, that's what bad-pedi-alpha called him) blew his top screaming that he was the apex of alphas, the "demon wolf." He shouted this shortly after proclaiming he was the strongest ever because he killed...

Today in Arnold reboot rumors: "The Legend of Conan." As in Conan the Barbarian.
Deadline.com reports that Universal has purchased the action film and that Schwarzenegger is attached to star. The first film came out in 1982, and, as Deadline.com's Mike Fleming notes, it "launched Schwarzenegger's movie career."
Here's Arnold on the matter: "I always loved the Conan character and I’m honored to be asked to step into the role once again. I can’t wait to work with Universal and the great team of Fredrik Malmberg and Chris Morgan to develop the next step of this truly epic story."
Also truly epic? The number of vintage Arnold flicks that are supposedly hopping back to your local cineplex. There's "Triplets," the apocryphal follow-up to "Twins," the 1987 comedy which starred Danny DeVito as the governator's unlikely sibling. Eddie Murphy is supposed to be the third link in that chain.

Batter up! TLC has ordered five episodes of a new docu-series revolving around Pete Rose, the polarizing baseball great.
The yet-to-be-titled series will follow Rose, his fiancée Kiana Kim and their attempt to blend their families together. The show will also chronicle the Cincinnati Reds star and onetime manager’s struggle with the controversial 1980s gambling scandal that has kept him out of the Hall of Fame and the sport he loves for over 20 years — an issue that he considers appealing again with the commissioner during the TLC project.
The Rose series is set to debut later this year.

Batter up! Today's starting lineup is the cast of "A League of Their Own," the landmark baseball comedy released 20 years ago this month (on July 1, 1992). A home-run hit at the box office, this tale of women's-league baseball in the 1940s brought to light a nearly forgotten chapter in sports history. Two decades later, some of the movie's players have become cinema hall-of-famers, while other teammates have become nearly forgotten themselves. Read on to see who kept slugging and who struck out. Vampire Diaries Season 3 “Heart of Darkness” (3.19) Promo Images
Batter up! The Vampire Diaries is showing off the latest batch of promotional images for the show’s third season, with these demonstrating Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder in character at a batting cage from “Heart of Darkness.” If you’re a Damon fan, you may not like seeing him get his butt handed to him, but he absolutely does. And in front of Elena and her brother no less! If I were him, I’d be incredibly embarrassed.
As I said, the episode will feature a batting cage setting, located in Denver. Elena and Damon drive out to pay a visit to Elena’s little brother Jeremy, who was sent up there to be kept safe. However, it’s hard to keep someone safe when they are deliberately hanging around people like Kol, who shows up at the cage and whacks Damon with a baseball bat.

New and returning shows are likely to get a fair amount of marketing love, as summer programming, especially with the influx of cable hotlist shows, has taken off over the last few years.

It’s spring training for baseball, a time when even Cubs fans can be hopeful despite knowing that, sooner or later, this year’s team will break our hearts as every Cubs team has done for over a century. Truth is, if the Cubs ever won the World Series, their mystique would be gone. Their legend is based on being losers.
As baseball season is upon us, and tonight is the Academy Awards, I want to look back not only at the game but at my favorite baseball movies. For my taste, there is something better about baseball films than there is in films for any other sport. There’s a duality to it; baseball is played by teams but it comes down to individuals – batter versus pitcher.
So here, in no particular order, are my favorite baseball films. I’m not saying they’re the best but they are...

NBC continued its Monday winning streak, thanks to The Voice generating another near-American Idol-sized rating.
The Voice (15.8 million viewers, 5.8 adults 18-49 rating) won all four of its half hours, its numbers climbing throughout, and was down just a sliver overall from last week’s episode. The Voice has held up impressively since its post-Super Bowl return, though another test comes once the show finishes its popular audition rounds.
As for NBC’s new musical drama Smash (6.5 million, 2.3), the show fell 18 percent and was overtaken by CBS’ Hawaii Five-0 (10.2 million, 2.8) in the 10 p.m. hour, perking up 4 percent this week.
